Oh no, not that "if you're a Nintendo fan you can't dare be critical of Nintendo!" argument.
Corbie is quite clearly a fan of games. Nintendo is one such provider. He's always been fair to Nintendo - it's nice that Nintendo doesn't blind him. He's more than justified in being critical of the company.
Yeah, you all buy your Playstation Vitas with all of 3 or 4 good games for them. That's great. Awesome. Collect dust while I'm playing Luigi's Mansion 2 and Mario Kart 3DS. I have a PSP on my entertainment center gathering amoebas as we speak. Have fun with that.
People crack me up. They run out and buy the latest and greatest thing just to say that they are the first on the block to get. Than a few months later they trade it in because it sucks and it doesnt do everything that they wanted at the beginning. One reason I wait about six months to a year to get the new system rather than getting it outta the get go.

I have two 3D games for it. But I have a wealth of other content as well that I've downloaded. I might actually buy a PSV down the road too, but only if it shows me games other than first person shooters, rpgs, and little big planet.
I was lucky enough to be able to return mine to the store that I bought it from. I can honestly say that I am a lot happier having that $250 in my pocket than owning a 3DS right now. Sure I'll probably pick one up again later on when it drops in price and there are some games that I am actually interested in playing but for now I don't miss it one bit.

The 3DS is the first console I've considered trading in, not because of the game line up - we all know that's going to get better (Though it's probably 2 years before the good stuff really starts to hit). No. The reason I am really, really disappointed with the 3DS (which was also the first console I ever pre-ordered) is Nintendo has failed to learn from a single one of its previous mistakes.
eShop still sucks. 3rd party developers are still not being treated properly Online features still suck. Non-gaming applications (such as video), are still behind the PSP - a console that's 5 years old. Let alone the iPad.
The 3DS is a console that's half a decade behind its time, with a (nice) 3D gimmick slapped on top. That's a problem that Nintendo will not likely fix, ever.

If you all dont mind me asking why do you go running out to buy the 3DS on launch day if you are just going to be disappointed by it and return it? Nintendo released a launch schedule list of what games were coming out so its not like you didnt know what limited titles they were going to have first.

At a guess he might have thought that something interesting could have been announced by now? I know I'm still waiting for the announcement of a game I can get excited waiting for. Paper Mario and Animal Crossing come close, I guess.
But held back on it because it's a piece of gaming history and surely, a resurgence of PSP games I missed out will show up, so. I keep it. I'm happy with my 3DS. Though, there are things that could be better. A lot better. But I like it.

Well, they're gonna come. It's not like Nintendo has announced these games and released trailers and they are never gonna come to fruition...
Bah, I don't know. I'm just sick of these people saying, "3DS sucks!" without giving it a chance to grow. It's the DS launch all over again, just in different era. Playstation Vita, at this point, is just a stomping ground for people who want all these games directly at launch. Whatever. I'm done here.

You mean announced games I have no interest in and trailers for games I couldn't care less about.
We've got Nintendo games, a Resident Evil game, and a Metal Gear Solid game. No other real 3rd party support as yet. Square Enix is doing some experimental stuff (though I do hope Chocobo Racing is still on the way). Tecmo Koei hasn't announced any futher 3DS support.
My favourite genres are RPG, Strategy and Puzzler. None of those three genres are even close to being supported.
As I said earlier, I know they're coming. But I can hardly blame people for selling their 3DSes. The current range of games really do only support a small range of gamers.
yeah, I'm a pretty diehard Nintendo defender...sometimes, but Nintendo is dropping the ball a lot this year. I don't even agree with a lot of what Waltzelf has said but there's a point.
Of course, I think a lot of Nintendo gamers deserve this for reasons I've explained countless times, but for people like me or others who actually tried to support original good games, this really sucks. All of this.
I agree with Waltz and alot of the games just dont do it for me either. I mean the only one that looks interesting to me is SSFIV but I have that game on the Xbox I dont need another copy on a different system. Same goes for OoT I already have several versions of it I dont need another one. Hopefully in a few months or year the library of games will be more and than I will pick up a 3DS. As for you others I can see your point in wanting to or trading in your 3DS now.

Yeah I don't think there's too many interesting titles either. The best game I've played on it so far is Donkey Kong '94, and that's an old Gameboy game. Thankfully there's some games coming out later this year that I'm interest me.
Jesus is the only way.
It's OK to have an opinion. This ain't the Soviet Union you know. Letterboxd Youtube Channel
