Topic: I Don't Have My 3DS Yet Fan Club

heck i would buy the 3DS now. yet i wonder how much of a discount i would get with trading in both my ds lite and dsi. and why do i have the feeling you guys are mostly in an age group of around 12 to 15 and asked for an ipod touch 8 gb for christmas? lol just wondering

I will be in this club for awhile. Right now no 3DS games interest me so I'll probably just play my Dsi, and wait for a new 3DS model / price drop and better games (Paper Mario, Layton, OoT, Kid Icarus).

Its not that I cant wait its just that I cant afford the steep price that Nintendo is wanting for something that costs them 5 bucks to make. I have other priorities like rent, utilities, gas, car insurence and food before that need to be taken care of before hand. I cant just go running to someone like my parents and have them buy one for me.

Seriously I am glad that alot of you can afford it for whatever reason. As I said before its not that I want to wait but I have to wait. Hopefully I will be able to save up for one and get one in a few months and hopefully they will have a few more games out by than that I would want to play. Right now the only game I want to play is SSFIV but I have that on Xbox already so its not a must have. There are a few other games that I want to get before like Pokemon White and Black and Mortal Kombat.

My 3DS is slowly coming to me... I can feel it! _{that and i can track the package}
On a side note, i ordered Nintendogs and a matching dog puppet case with my 3DS preorder bonus credits

Neither do I lol, wanted it on the release date but couldn't get it, even after saving up. Even tried attempts at selling my Nintendo Wii just for it XD

it's all over the 'net that it costs approx $101. ok, the poster exaggerated, but not by much. let's see...um $250 - $101 =...um...er...$149! you consider marketing et al, and it's still a pretty hefty mark up.

and for some, the 'joy' has to come from putting food on the table, keeping a roof over the family's head, petrol in the car...y'know: little stuff like that. is that really so difficult to understand? (add in the problems some are having and the limp game line up for launch and it may work out better for us 'poor folk'. lol)

I understand people have other priorities and more important things to spend their money on.

What I DON'T understand is people who DO have the money for it, but are willing to wait until an upgrade comes out in a year or so. That just boggles my mind. But then again, I'm probably just an impatient person is all.

And there's where the difference lies, at least where I come from. I wouldn't feel like I'm "missing out." It'll be there when I'm ready for it. Knowing that, the waiting's pretty easy.

There's no advantages to getting it day one > a year later besides, well, having it earlier. You get so much more if you wait like a year or two (which I always do) and lots of the problems are worked out by then.
