Argh, I hate the way the folders look. There needs to be an option to choose one of the contained games' icons or at least more letters — only displaying the initial of the folder's name is silly. The new eShop layout looks cool though.
I tried sorting my games into folders... but it took me about two seconds to start missing all the little icons that are covering my home screen. I left all the demos and trailers in folders, but the rest came straight back out again. If I get to the stage where I fill up my screen then I'll consider folders for stuff like DSiWare, but there's still 53 empty slots assuming it doesn't expand any further (which seems to be the case) so there's still quite a while before I'll have to make that painful decision.

It's awesome! if only there were more colors If there were folders inside of folders, I would make a treacherous pathway, and if one did not answer the riddles in the titles right they would be rewarded... WITH CRAPPY DSiWARE! MUAHAHA And, for the adventurers with wit, they would get stuff like Pushmo and Punch-Out!!. NINTENDO, MAKE FOLDERS IN FOLDERS...
Well, that settles it. The folders look terrible and like something from a PC, and that's the last kind of thing I want on my 3DS. So I'm sticking with my current toybox-of-goodies look to the menu, and happily so.
Also, the eShop looks worse after the update. The large icons were charming, and that new bottom row is unnecessary.

I've also left apps I use daily outside of my folders. However, my game organization OCD is kicking in, so I'm probably gonna copy @Morpheel's idea and reorganize my titles with symbols for the folder names. Until that pisses me off and I reorganize them again...
Because we like showing off our stuff. shows Ambassador folder To be honest though, I have mine in the VC folder. I only have two Folders though, DSiWare and Virtual Console.
Another thing I'd like though is some sort of pad... type a list of games you want, shopping list etc. I think it would fit rather well. I know there's Game Notes... but I just hate using that, especially with my type of hand writing... so unreadable.
