just watch them on your laptop, smartphone, tablet or whatever... anything is better than using the internet browser on a handheld or console..
eShop videos (when checking out a game) are absolutely fine though, looking at them all the time of course!
but not once have i used the internet browser on my 3ds..

that must be why you don't know the actual 3DS browser is worse than what you make it look
the youtube app also sucks but it can at least play videos(and as the thread is about, non-youtube videos too)

i dont want to boot up my pc just to check if the channels i subscribed to have a new video. and i dont have a smartphone to do that nor do i want a smartphone.
i use the internetbrowser a lot. for example when i wanna look into the animal crossing wiki while playing the game.

the easter egg doesnt work for me. there isnt a "download chrome" button anywhere. maybe i have to link my youtube account to google+ first? i thought i already did that when youtube began to suck real hard a few weeks ago -.-

Yes, you do need to link your google+ account to the app.
Can anyone verify whether or not the update from the eShop has effected this? The flash browsing.
my youtube app was a bit different from the guy's in the article, but i was able to glitch my way there, none the less. however, the app will only work for videos if the video is supported by mobile. i've made much more use of the app when i found out about this! also, the fact that this glitch exists renders the internet app on the 3DS obsolete, because this version can run videos.
[the YouTube App] renders the internet app on the 3DS obsolete.
Well, idk; not only does the YouTube App crash quite often, but the display is all screwed up on it for anything other than YouTube... it's incredibly difficult to navigate non-YouTube sites through it.

plus the normal browser can be used while playing games. I use for Monster Hunter(I like to check the Monster's elemental weaknesses)

Whenever I click a video, it has the loading bar for a really long time. When the loading bar disappears (Usually after about 10 mins) the video doesn't play. Anyone know why?
Awesome, you can watch Google Play movies on the 3DS through Google Play. Its a pain in the donkey since the interface is complete junk. And when you do get there, the quality is awful... I've seen better quality on a TV from 1990. D:
It would be nice if Nintendo did make a lone browser that we could use since the current browser is pants. Please watch the profanity — TBD
Okay everyone is saying this works but everytime i try and watch a video outside the youtube app it doesn't work. the red bar does not move at all i have to tap 1million times. how do i fix this i really want to know.

be sure the video has a low resolution or it won't load(or take forever to load even a little, no one ever had the patience to see which of the two is true)
