How much money can you put in the eshop? I wanted to know if you can put up to $400 in a account? On the 3DS. I saw that Wii U can have more but can the 3DS hold that much?

In Australia it's $200. Not sure about other countries though.

Why would you want to have $200 dollars on the shop?

When my 1st 3DS was stolen, I did all of the proper steps to get a refund for all of my downloaded games. They refunded me over 400 dollars in eShop cash, directly to my system. I checked the increments though, 200 at a time.

Wait ... you can get a refund when your 3DS with lots of downloaded content gets lost?

In North America, I believe it's $200. Reason I say that is because if you perform a system transfer and the two 3DSes have an eShop balance that combines to more than $200, the transfer won't happen.

$200 for the eShop, but then you can buy a card with another $200 and give it to them. The eShop cards cannot be redeemed for actual money once purchased, they can only go to the eShop funds.

Only if you have a Club Nintendo account, file a police report, and have the serial numbers to your stolen system and new system.

wrong. look at the registration, it says "open to U.S. and Canadian residents only"

True. It doesn't even matter if you are from those two countries, they will block your previously active account if you move or travel to another country and happen to tell them or give them a hint about it.

Bloop.

Huh, sorry, been so long since I registered I didn't know.

EDIT: On further research, the reason it's only Canada and the US is because the site is tailored to those privacy laws. Another instance of politics messing everyone up.

Saddest answer by far.
