I'm just asking because I will need room for both my DSiware games and the 3DS VC games and I'm wondering how much space will I have on the 3DS.

how ever much your memory card holds, you can upload the games from the SD card just like the wii

Not SD cards Otaku. I'm talking about the system itself without any SD cards

im hearing 1.5 GB of flash memory. i dont know, there could be even more if im mistaken

This is ground control to major Tom, you've really made the grade. And the papers want to know whose shirts you wear
Now it's time to leave the capsule if you dare

the wii has exactly 512 MB of flash memory, and i believe the dsi has the exact same amount as of the wii.

Seriously....I wonder how many GB's or MB's it will have...I'll always need more though, I have a 4GB already in my DSi.

More then DSi. ( o v o )

wont be on here anymore

I read it will be significantly more than the DSi's or the Wii's internal memory. (Can't remember the source, maybe a NL article.) The 3DS will also be packaged with a 2 GB SD card so really, no worries at all on the memory front.

I read somewhere it was about 1.5GB internal, but that was a rumour and I can't really remember (so chinese whispers rules apply here)
Like everyone's said, in Japan they get a 2GB free in box and they'll boot from the SD card, so you don't even have to transfer

Misfortune subdues small minds.

Iwata said internal storage is for the firmware and built in apps. The SD card included is for your music, photos and games so it has as much storage as you want. Also it doesn't sound like it works like the Wii, the games launch directly off the SD card(as if they were a normal 3DS game) instead of being cached like the Wii.

It's been stated that it'll have 1.5GB of data on the system and Japan will get a 2GB SD card.

As for the main system, the DSi memory is virtually cut in half because the OS and other things take up space on the memory, so I suspect the 3DS will actually have about 1GB or a bit less.
At least it comes with an SD card. Let's hope games actually can be run FROM the SD card this time.

Over one gigabyte should be fine considering how few games I'll actually download.

I'd heard the 1.5 GB rumor too somewhere. If games can boot directly from an SD card, it doesn't matter too much. Just buy an SD card with the amount you need.

I am way too lazy to think of something clever.

i forgot. is the pica200 just a graphics card or is it also a motherboard?

@geek-master It's the graphics card (more specifically the graphics processing unit). How is that relevant? lol

@StarFox I somehow expect 3DSWare to be far superior (at least potentially) to anything on DSiWare or WiiWare, considering the capabilities of the system and the lessening of size restrictions. I wouldn't write it off before you see what it eventually has to offer.

What I meant was I have little interest in any GB games.

I'll start with:
Super Mario Land
Oracle of Ages
Kid Icarus OMAM
