this certainly does bring up an important question; how much are you willing to pay for games? it seems to me that the newer and cleaner the games and consoles get, everything starts to cost more. it all depends on where we draw the line on what is or isn't too expensive. i don't think anyone would pay more than $60 dollars for a console game. i think $60 is still expensive. i always buy my games used and at retail, that way if i don't like it i can return it or resell it. i don't want the money i spent going to waste! the economy is rough, so i doubt gamers are willing to pay anything above $60. as for 3DS games, i think $40 is a fair price.

I remember paying $60 for PSX games back in the day when i had my first real job and all. That's probably my limit for home console titles nowadays as well.

For a digital game max 10$, at retail 40$, the only game i bought at almost 40$ (was 36$) is Kid Icarus, and im happy with my purchase, but i always wait for sales like Zelda OOT, mario land, paper mario, mario kart, i bought all of them under 20$! I love amazon! Here in my country a game can cost you 1300bs (200$ US!!!)... is crazy!

$40. $60 if I get the Circle Pad Pro or some other accessory with it.

My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.

@ecynet Where do you live?!? $200 for a single game is 5X the norm here in the US.

I'm sure Trillio would pay $600+ for a Kirby 2 remake in 3D though boi!

50 dollars, for eshop games about 10-12 the only exception to that was unchained blades, and to be fair that was retail, just wasnt retail here.

just a nintendo gamer on a nintendo related site (who wouldve seen that one coming?)

In Australialand, most handheld games are 69.95 on launch, I guess that'd be my max. I see some console games (glance at Skyward Sword, Last Story, Xenoblade) at 99.95, and I'm not paying that

especially since we're not that far off from USD

The title of this topic made me laugh really hard, haha.

Anyway, The normal price is 40, but I would pay up to 80 if it was a very large and high quality game, but it would really have to be something special. I realize that a video game is the product of a large team's hard work and dedication. I mean hell, Panzer Dragoon Saga for Saturn sells for over $400 on ebay, and I think it's definitely worth it because there's not another game like it. and there never will be.

Chrono_Cross

$20 max with New Leaf being the exception, of course.

Just for you.

Depends on the game, but the limit is 45. For retail 3DS games I usually pay 15-35.

In Venezuela my friend, but i don't pay those high prices, i import from USA, so i know what the REAL price for each game is... the problem is we only have access to 400$ per year to buy things through internet (amazon, bestbuy, etc...), so we have to choose really well in what we spend our money, so i always wait for games sales under 20$ for 3ds and ps3, and max 40$ for wiiU games, the last game i bought was NSMBU at 39.99$, and PaperMario and Style Savvy for 19.99 each one at amazon! but this year will be hard for me because i spend all my 400$ already!! so no more games for me this year ... buuu

$54.44 is my max ($50 plus sales tax). Would be nice if it is a good game with an accessory included but if not, Then it should be an awsome game. Quality over quantity is my motto for this.

40 bucks, with that number slowly going down depending on the factors of interest in the game and popularity (as a popular 3DS game will not need my money meethinks).
