I saw a pair of grandmas playing the 3DS at a cafe once. They looked like they were having a grand old time.

Doesn't talk about games.

Sounds very similar to me, my friend. I also just bought a new PS4, as I want to keep up on their exclusives and the 3rd party stuff, too. It's good to hear stories like yours. I lost all my gamer friends when I stopped playing all those long years and it's not exactly easy to meet gamers your age nowadays!

Wow! So many 20's and up in this thread. Who would've thought. I took a 10 year break from gaming from ages 17 to 27 (2001 to to 2011) so i missed quite a bit, but I'm catching up now! Bought my wii u first, then ps4, and now 3ds. Already beat ALBW and just got started on FE:A, as well as revisiting OOT3d. Loving my 3ds so far. Lost touch with my gamer friends years ago, wish i knew the people in this thread in real life! Greetings from Boston, MA

I might buy another system down the road- like 3-5 years down the road. I binged out and bought a TON of games for both 3ds and WiiU. I kinda wonder if this is the last generation of consoles as we know them. I think in part, the Gamepad was Nintendo's answer to an iPad- when Apple comes out with their TV, it's going to interact with it in a similar way. So, I'll get one or both when they start to become "old school." For now, Nintendo is "old school," so I"m sticking with it.

23 and just as fond of video games as 20 years ago. My style of gaming has definitely changed throughout the years though as I much rather like to focus on 1-3 games and aim for completion as opposed to rushing through multiple games on a daily basis without finishing them.

I'm 31 and have my 3DS with me at all times. I think it is my favorite system of all time, which is funny because the DS was my fav before. Nintendo can do no wrong to portables. I'm a big Nintendo fan and I really don't care for Sony or Microsoft- but I don't hate them. I've been gaming since 86- and I'll continue gaming till I'm 86 :)

I'm with you on that. My 3DS goes with me on vacations, when I go out of town for work, and pretty much anytime I do any shopping around town. And lately I've been going all over the place just to get the street pass relay points. I've been addicted to those Mii plaza games lately.

Same here brother, hitting up StreetPass Relays and random Street Passes are so fun. I've met so many interesting people by Street passes. When I 'm shopping and stuff I find myself cautiously looking for people who might be 3DS gamers. Is that creepy? lol Either way like you said, those Mii Plaza games are so addictive and fun.

First post here in a while! I wouldn't say I'm older but im not a kid. I'm 21 and love my 3DS to death. I have around 2500 hours logged on it since launch day. It doesn't look like its slowing down any time soon either!

I hope it's normal because I do the same thing. I got some pretty weird habits since I got a 3DS. One of them being using restrooms wherever street pass relay points are, so I don't have to buy anything....Can't tell you how many times I've been to Home Depot. And another is walking on the treadmill to get my coin count up again. Only Nintendo can make me do random things like that.

@Bboy
Dang! I'm around 1480 in hours. Not too bad. I'm pretty sure I got quite a bit on my WiiU.

I work as a a physical trainer for a government program, and due to the nature of said program (which I won't mention because I'm all kinds of paranoid about giving too much personal info away online) over half of the clients I have are 40+. It always amazes me how many of them will see one of the video game shirts I'm wearing that day and open up to me that they have a 3DS or DS hidden away that they play before they go to bed. They never want to buy a console due to fear of looking immature but they seem to like having something they can hide away and play when nobody else is around.

LOL thats some funny stuff for sure. I always get wierd looks by passer-bys when I' at Home Depot sitting in my car with my 3DS trying to hit the NZone. I guess they think i'm recording them :0 Treadmill huh? thats funny. I go down to the track and before i run i do a two mile walk just to rack up steps and coins lol. I have 2,434,831 steps total (1,859,741 just this year) with 1899.39hrs
