What is your Mario kart 7 online VR?

Unfortunately VR is no way to tell how good you are at Mario Kart 7. Since the system gives you points pretty much unless you're in 7/8th place - it's a scale of how much you've played rather than how good you are. I'll also facepalm if someone suggests that the scoreboards on communities are an indication of how good someone is. -.-

I don't play that much but I just played like ten races and got first in all but two of em, the other two I got second. I like to think I'm not bad.

I would say im quite good, im not rubbish that's for sure.

Before i started again on Mario Kart, my VR was around 13,000

I am horrid, and my VR is around 1200.

I'm pretty good, and I have people who can back me up on that. :3

Mario Kart 7 is more down to the luck of the items than anything else, anyone can be good at the game it's just down to the right kart build and your memory of the track. Everything else besides kart build and track memorization is pure luck.

Oh yay... a whole clan dedicated to Mario Kart 7... they're clearly sane aren't they...

All I'm saying is you can't always win Mario Kart 7 as a straight first player, you don't know if you're going to get 2 Blue Shells up your tail, get item destroyed or get hit as you go off a ramp and fall to dead last. The only thing YOU control over is the kart, everything else is pretty much random and if you can't see that well then... whatevs.

Tell that to Kai. I've beaten him once, and every other time he brutalized the competition.
Just to be clear, I do agree with you to a certain extent, and I'd say about 60 or 70 percent is luck. I have the worst luck in mario kart.

Hhmm pretty much the fair way to tell who is really skilled at Mario kart 7 is if there were NO items

My VR is 18,000+, but I recently retired from playing online since VR is basically based off how much you play.

But in terms of actual skill, I'm actually very good. I am the best among all of my friends, and I find it funny because I race as Wiggler and no one really plays as Wiggler online except for newbies.

After comparing my time trials on the best times I could find on YouTube, I hold some of the top ten times in some tracks such as DK Pass and Neo Bowser City, but there is no worldwide learderboard in the game to show it

Anyways, I just hope to God that the Wii U version of Mario Kart has a better VR system and online leaderboards like the Wii version.

@wiggler welcome to the club. . When Mario kart 7 revealed the new characters, I was all "wiggler! Yes!" and my friends were like "oh MAH GAWD Mario is made of metal! Mind, blown!" Idk why no one likes him.

The new VR system sucks, it only measures how much you play. I'm at 6300 VR, and I can beat 10,000 players pretty easily.
VR is only a way to see how much you've played.

I don't play it online as much as I did MKWii, but I have three stars on every cup, and I did pretty well when Nintendolife played last week.

In MKWii I peaked my VR somewhere in the 9000s. Not sure if all the skills translate to MK7, though, what with the added items and other things.
