Topic: How clean do you keep your 3DS?

I'm very meticulous about the cleanliness of my 3DS. I always give the whole thing a good wet wipe down when it gets even a little smudgy to keep it nice and shiny as new. How clean do you keep yours and how often do you clean it?

I keep my 3ds super clean. Unfortunately I fell on the hard cold ground and made a small ( but extremely noticeable) crack noooooooooooo...

mine has a small crack on the 3ds screen but its only noticeable without the 3d effect on. also everytime i turn around something ends up in a crevice... the outside coating must have worn off too because i cant get fingerprints off it easily anymore. o well... awaiting a redesign before i get a new one.

Pretty much this. Sadly.

Just for you.

If it has smudges and fingerprints, I don't do anything. I really don't care how clean it is. (Unless of course, it's covered in dirt or something)

Btw how waterproof is a 3ds? I had a friend who dropped his ds in a stream and it hit a rock and after 3 seconds of pure shock he picked it out of the water and it was fine.

Very waterproof that clear plastic casing around the top of the 3DS is a waterproofer. Iwata came up with the idea because he and Miyamoto like to shower together so they thought it would be a great if they could play Mario Kart 7 together when they take a bath.

obsessively clean. It bothers me when it has any imperfections at all. When there is an issue, its all I can see until I take care of it.

It has a shield of dust over it so it should be pretty clean underneath it.

I find even THAT doesn't help. :chuckles: I take it to work with me just for the streetpasses, by the time I get it back it's managed to eat it's weight in dust! WHERE FROM?? MY BAG WAS CLEAN!!! :cough: [/rant]

I often try to wipe off any smudges, scratches or fingerprints I happen to see. I think it looks nice and shiny when it's spot-free.
or maybe I'm just picky about how it looks all the time

I like to think I keep mine quite clean actually. Maybe not as clean as if I were planning to reapply the screen protectors because, let's face it. No-one lives in complete isolation from the environment. . . well maybe everyone but bubble boy.

But yea, I think I keep mine fairly clean.

I have seen some pretty nasty ones though. I once saw someone with a DSLite that was so grubby, they had dark brown hand oils seeping down the inside of the clear layer on their "white" system. . . . and another time, I saw someone else making notes to themselves with a black Sharpie around the speakers of their also "white" DSLite (like this, but with more English and ink).

I keep mine exceptionally clean but I still get the occasional circle pad ring and line marks on my top screen. That can be annoying but I just use a soft cloth to wipe it clean. Oh and I always wash my hands before using my system.
