Ok, so this is bugging me (perhaps a little more than it should do) so I was wondering if anybody else had noticed the same thing as me, because the total internet silence on this seems a little strange to me.

In Mauville City Pokémon Centre you meet the old guys who give you new O-Powers over the course of the game, and then the final O-Power is received after the scene in which they all move in a circle and transform the "powerless man" into Mr Bonding (from X/Y).

So far, most sources I've seen on the web that mention this sequence just seem incredibly confused, and generally at a loss as to what they have just witnessed. Nobody seems to actually reference who these old men really were...

Surely I'm not the only person who realised they're quite clearly supposed to be the (presumably now retired) Hoenn Rangers Coexistence Force referenced in other areas throughout ORAS? I mean come on, there's the right number of them, the colours all match perfectly, and they all give very superheroey quotes before passing their special powers on to the next generation.

Seemed rather obvious to me, and maybe it was to others too. Just seems odd to me that it's not been mentioned anywhere at all, not even on Serebii.

From 16/08/15 I’m going for sober for six months to raise money for the Princess Alice Hospice. Donations can be made here and anything you can offer is greatly appreciated: https://www.justgiving.com/Stephen-Butler5

Wish me luck!

Some of the Rangers are female though.

Oh really? If so I take it all back haha, but how do we know that for certain? Don't recall seeing anything that confirmed which genders any of them were, and everything else seems to line up?

If that is the case though, I still reckon it all matches well enough that these guys must be linked to the HRCF - perhaps just rangers from a different era.
