Hi everyone,
I recently acquired a Shiny Squirtle in Pokemon X (through Mesuda Method.)
It has a Lonely nature and a Perfect Speed IV.
Does anyone know how I should EV train it and what moveset to give it?

as far as i know, lonely nature means +atk, -def. And since you said it has perfect speed, i would use it as a sweeper. Moveset: scald, aqua jet, powerup punch, and protect. Scald for burn, power up for the atk boost and can combine with the priority aqua jet. protect to stall the possible burn. Also try ev training the hp for the stall and give it leftovers.

(haven't played x/y but i just used my experience, so i may be a bit wrong)

With that nature i would go something like this:

Blastoise@Blastonite

  • Power-Up Punch
  • Waterfall/Aque Tail
  • Earthquake
    Aqua Jet
    EVs: Max attack and HP

Just something i quickly came up with. Mega-Blastoise has a bether attack than normal Blastoise so it's a much bether choice for a physical attacker. PUP for bether attack, Waterfall or Aqua Tail as main attack, AJ for priority and EQ is always nice. Physical Blastoise isn't ideal but it can work well. Congratulations on the Shiny!

That -defense is going to hurt you.. that's -10% in your defense.

Find out the rest of it's IVs here: http://www.metalkid.info/Pokemon/Calculators/IV.aspx
If it's IVs are bad sorry to say I wouldn't bother using it in a competitive manner :/

I'd say maybe a choice banded waterfall+EQ+aqua jet+maybe rapid spin or ice beam just for some dragon coverage. Would be the way to go.. not much else you can do on the physical side.. He's too slow to utilize power-up punch and his attack stat is flat out not that amazing. Even when mega he's too slow and suffers in attack which choice band may be able to save you there.

Choice scarf is possible too.
