Topic: Help people, save games missing!?

Hello all! This is my first post in the forum,

Anyways brought a 3DS XL today, simply due to the big screen, it looks great.

Anyways, I am having trouble with the SD card situation! I know you are meant to do a system transfer between old system and new one. However I didnt see the point as I have never brought anything from the nintendo online store, and the game in questions always state, "saving to sd card".

So I put old sd card into 3ds and nothing!

I even copied data from it to the new 4gb sd card that comes with the xl. Again again no save game data showed!!

When I put the SD card into computer everything is shown from the sd card but not on 3ds!

What is going on??

Well if what you're suggesting were possible, no one would need to pay for eShop games - they could just have them transferred from another persons SD card. I'm pretty sure a system transfer is the only way. :/

Thanks for the reply. No what I am saying is I dont have any eshop games. Just game saves from cartidges, and photos etc which go to sd card.

none of that is showing on the xl?!

Saves are on the cartridge, not the SD card. Photos should be showing up though. If you still have your old 3DS I highly suggest you transfer to make sure all your bases are covered.

The guy at game also said it saves to cartridge, even when the game is saving it says "saving to sd card" however the dam thing is not showing.

The sad thing is, I gave the 3ds in today for the xl. I mean they could have done a system format? Is there any other way i mean it does just save to sd card.

I assume you've put the games in your 3DS XL and no save data is there. On my 3DS there isn't a single save file on the SD card, just extra data (streetpass & spotpass). What game says "saving to SD card"? If it's just one game the file may have been corrupted.
