Topic: HELP! Micro SD card content not showing any games after transfer

I’ve followed the official steps and complete the system transfer through a PC. But when I put my new micro SD card into the handheld, no games show up! my NNID has bee successfully transferred to the new system,so are my jog and FC list, but the games and saves are gone! i think the new micro sd card works on the handheld, since the new system shows how much space is left. There was only one thing that could’ve gone wrong.Before the transfer, I took out the original 4g micro sd card out and installed my new 32 g micro sd card. Then during the last steps of the transfer, there’s a question on the new system asking whether I have used other micro sd card and I said no…

I still have my old SD card at hand, untouched. Is there a way to find back my savings? (I know I can redownload the games) Thanks!!

Sounds like you made the same mistake I did. When you performed the system transfer with the New 3Ds it made a 3DS folder on the Micro SD card, and you can't mix the data from two SD cards, as it makes the data unreadable. If you still have the old card with the save data from your previous 3DS, transfer it to your PC, then format the new SD card and transfer the 3DS folder you backed up on the PC to the now blank SD card and it should be fine.

You should first format your 32GB microSDHC card. You use the tool found on this page to do that.

Then, using a PC, transfer your old SD contents onto the newly formatted card (copy/paste).

Using a computer was the only way I was able to transfer my Save Data. I originally tried to transfer everything wirelessly between my two handhelds but no luck.

Just remember to format your new microSDHC card first. That could be your problem (as it was mine).
