I would only use 3d on my 3ds and 3ds xl for the first 10 minutes and for cutscenes, other than that it stays off. On my Majoras Mask New 3DS XL I keep it on all the time, only thing I wish they figured out was the crosstalk/ghosting issue. I usually play full 3d but if it's ghosting a lot il reduce it to 50-70%, but I can't imagine not using3d anymore. I really hope nintendo's next handheld is also 3d, I wouldn't of said that a month ago..... I'm very very happy, and now replaying all my old 3ds games just to enjoy the 3d.
It's so much better. I was already a big fan of the 3D, and now even more so. I've gone back to some of my older games just to see them on the N3DS. The head tracking works really well for me, and only breaks if I completely turn my head to look away, but even then when I look back it resets in a fraction of a second. They did a great job with it.

New 3DS is a million times better. I thought about playing Smash on my original 3DS again, or seeing what Majora's Mask looked like.... but I actually know it'll be so bad I don't even want to bother. Can't believe I played Smash so long on 3DS, I am already better with a brighter, bigger, smoother unit.
Experience double images/crosstalk/ghosting a lot in home menu and MH4. Didn't notice the double images at all when I played the MH4 demo at PAX South so am pretty disappointed in that regard. The 3D is pretty great otherwise.
