I pre-ordered from GAME.co.uk with the free poster as soon as it reached £29.99. I don't think there's anywhere better to pre-order it from really - superb delivery, (now) cheap price, free golden game box and poster.

Oh, I also had £5's worth of reward points to use, so I'm only paying £24.99 in the end!

I can imagine Nintendo would at least have at least enough CDs for all preorders.

I am positive that you could get the cd without pre-order. The reasons are as follows
1. Not everyone has club nintendo
2. It is not hard to get a game day one without pre-ordering.
3. Not everyone will know about this deal.
4. Not everyone will rush home to register the game.
5. Nintendo will make a lot of the cds.

Hehe, I hope Gamestop is pissed that they couldn't get this as a pre-order bonus. Folks keep telling me lots of people are pre-ordering and I should reserve soon but I just shook my head since I know I can easily track copies down at my Best Buy and even Target, so...

The stories aren't really connected (OoT is actually a prequel), so it doesn't matter.

I don't have a 3DS yet, but I'm going to pick this up on launch day for the CD. There weren't any preorder bonuses/credit anywhere I checked though, so I didn't bother. It's not going to be a problem to find one at Target.

I'm playing Link's Awakening DX right now. I'm planing on finishing it before OOT 3D this Sunday. I'm almost done with the game. It's taken me more then a week now. If you really want to wait go ahead and play that game first. It is definitely as amazing as you think it is. In fact it's MY first Zelda game. Seriously if it weren't for this game I wouldn't be buying OOt 3D or be a Zelda fan in general this Sunday. I'd say no matter what order you go in play Link's Awakening DX first for sure. Then probably ALTTP so you don't have to make the jump from 2D to 3D all of a sudden.
