I just unlocked the garden area, I'm going rather slowly. It took me a good while to make it fit in my farm along with my barn and coop and fields and keeping it looking nice. The result was kinda nice I think, I can't wait to decorate it with flowers or something..
I think I'll go for the Witch Princess in this version too. You can never have enough of the Witch Princess. If that fails, Iroha seems to be a good second option.
I long for the good old days, when some gems and a pumpkin would win the affection of a Harvest Moon honey. Now you have to scour the Web to find out how to trigger heart events.
Your not alone, I too find myself yearning for the good old days from time to time. I'm all for the challenging of befriending the frostiest of souls, but why do so many games these days seem to end up outright needing a guide.
RPGs are a huge offender (the tales series is a great example) and so are sim games (The Sims and the entire Monster Rancher series come to mind).
I actually like it. Sure, it gets complicated, but if you live and learn (in my case, save and reload), then you can pick up on subtle hints and get it right.
It adds quite a lot of depth to the experience as well. :3
I'm not talking about simple things like favorite presents, I mean things that'd be like a shot in the dark they're so well hidden. Stuff like very specific but vague/hidden requirements. The special characters I recall usually end up with really quirky or bind-boggling requirements (the harvest god/goddess, witch, Skye), for example.
Getting married in Harvest Moon has been getting simpler with every new game, actually.
In this game the only new thing is that you must give a ring to your favorite marriage option before you can see more of their heart events. Other than that, you simply need to bring their heart to some color and be at the correct place (which is usually their home).
I finally got to choose the Wedding Attire for my wedding with my Hot Hair-Dresser Allen.
I decided to document it, since I have nothing better to do.
So of course, Allen comes into my house without me answering the door, because no one in this town has manners, apparently.
So then he asks me what color of Tux he should wear for the wedding, I wish there were more color options, but alas, there is not. If you were wondering I chose Black.
Then I get to try on Two different wedding dresses to see which one I like better, and with these there are no color options. (Dang it!) I was totally hoping for purple. Oh and I chose the second dress option.
Wait a second! Shouldn't Allen wait until the wedding to see me in my dress? I guess he doesn't like tradition. I find that HOT. (I'm totally joking here, if you're wondering x3)
Then Allen Leaves and lets me go to my farm work. The wedding is in 2 H-Moon days.
I'll probably document that too.
Heck yeah i'm having fun!
I've been sick lately, so I haven't had much to do. So I just play Harvest moon a lot to waste my time xD
Hope you feel better then!

So... Any of you has an extra Silkie Egg that you could give me?
I'd love to hatch a silkie hen without having to flood my chicken coop. I can give something in return if you want... Though I don't know what would be good lol.
I don't really know how the WiFi works in this game so it could be the perfect time to learn.
