Who's excited? I'm definitely looking forward to more visual novels on my 3DS.

There's one for 3DS? IS IT GOING TO BE LOCALIZED? QAQ Oh my goodness, if this is localized, I'm going to be so happy...

Says August. Of course, I don't know about any kind of European version. I never owned a PSP, so this is perfect.

It's the American Amazon page. If this was being released in Europe, it'd probably be released by Rising Star Games.

Yes, this is a localization of the game. It is apparently coming out for American 3DS owners in August.

@Ralizah, That's good news for Americans or, most people in the world! A lot of South East Asians have their games coming at the same time as America's, so it's probably more like Europe and/or Austrlia that's going to have hard time getting them. ^^;;

Europeans are getting Layton and Bravely Default this year. Americans deserve something before them.

Maybe if this sells well we can see localization of other dating sim/visual novel type games...

That's true. Bravely Default will come next year... And Monster Hunter 4 might come out next year as well, or the year after, I can't wait!

I have Hakuoki: Demon of the Fleeting Blossom for the PSP and I really enjoyed it, although it starts out slowly. I'll definitely get this for the 3DS because I'd like to see more of these types of games localised for the west.

aaahhhh i can't wait i can't wait~ i picked up the PSP version (it's what actually got me to take the plunge on a PSP, actually! it was so intriguing i had to play it :3) and loved it to bits. i can't wait to see what they've got in store for us in terms of extra content :3

Im surprised its 29.99 :0 I would have bought it for 40 after getting other games before this one, but now ima get once it comes out.

Is this a port of the first game that came to the US or the second one? Because I read some reviews on Amazon and most agreed that the second one was lacking in comparison to the first one. Thanks.

That said, this game we're talking about here is going to be a port of the PSP's Demon of the Fleeting Blossom, the 'second' not-so-well-rated game you saw on Amazon would be Warriors of the Shinsengumi (or at least that's what I'm looking at now, haha). Demon of the Fleeting Blossom covers the main Hakuouki tale, with Chizuru looking for her father. This Warriors game looks like some sort of hack-and-slash spin-off from the main visual novel game.

This is the second game, actually. I can't find where he said it, but I recall that reviewer liking the second game more than the first, too, mainly because of the better music. I wonder if the 3DS version of the first game will have better music?

@Mickeymac: I know Reimeiroku is technically the 'second' game... i thought pedrron was talking about the 'second' English-ported Hakuouki-series game, though? guess i should've specified in my comment, ha... but in terms of English-language PSP releases it would've been Warriors of the Shinsengumi; Reimeiroku hasn't been translated as far as i know. Also, pedrron said the 'second' game had garnered unfavorable reviews on Amazon, which describes WotS exactly. I can't seem to find anything in the way of reviews for a copy of Reimeiroku on Amazon no matter which version we're talking about.

BTW, the PSP version of Hakuoki dropped to $10 on PSN if anyone's interested. I already have the UMD, but I'm thinking it might be worth having the digital version on the Vita at that price.

if someone's never played the game and has a PSP/Vita, that's one helluva deal right there.
