Got a little FlipNote from a certain Reggie Fils-Aime via spotpass today. It was an invitation of sorts to go to Nintendo.com tomorrow, Feb. 22, 2011. Apparently they're making some sort of major announcement. Anyone else get this? Kind of exciting.

He called me during my lunch break and told me that they're going to announce the new 3DS model tomorrow and to not miss it!

I got an email from Reggie today. He told me that his ''announcement'' is retiring from Lametendo. He also told me that he'll join Sony and serve Tretton forever.

This is how I see it in my mind: 1). The message was sent by Swapnote, only available from the eshop on the 3ds. 2). Vita being launched 3). Major spokespeople talking in the same day, but we get a message from Reggie. 1+2=Getting people to forget about Vita with huge news. 1+3=New 3ds update 2+3=New AMERICAN 3ds update 1+2+3= Major New American 3ds update to distract from Vita launch.
