One of the main selling points of the original Golden Sun was it's graphics. That game was ahead of it's time. The new one looks fairly dated, and isn't nearly impressive. I'm not saying graphics are the only thing that matter in a game, so hear me out;

Golden Sun was one of the first RPG's on the Game Boy Advance. Don't you think it would be appropriate to make it a launch game for the 3DS? It would be a blueprint for all of the 3DS's RPGs. On the DS, to an average gamer, a generic RPG.

I'm sure the game will be great; I loved the first two, but still...

Pretty much every new DS game "should be on the 3DS." Can you imagine Okamiden on the 3DS? It'd be epic...

Maybe, but this one is supposed to end on a cliffhanger, which means there may be a sequel for the 3DS

I beleave the sales are horrible of golden sun in japan. Its like nobody knowns the game anymore. The company developed to long. And now with the 3DS upcomming. the DS is kinda already aged.

A really smart thing to do for the company itself was holding back the development, and create it for the 3DS. But thats not how nintendo works. They probably got a contract there. and they need to create a DS title or maybe even a second one for it.

Therefor golden sun = already a aged old gba title, which gets even more aged throught beying on a handheld which will be replaced in a couple of months by another handheld.

The word graphics makes alot of nintendo fans cry. black and white 1 bit 0.0001D is just as good as a grand tourismo 5 game. graphics isn't everything jo.

I read over on news.google.com that Camelot has expressed interest in developing a game for the Nintendo 3DS. However, they didn't specify if the game would be Golden Sun related.

clearly someone hasn't even touched the game yet. it looks excellent IMO, and I haven't seen any floating pixels at all.

The game is coming out a couple of months before the release of the 3DS and is close to a simultaneous launch. Camelot like finished the main design quite a while a go and it wouldn't be a good idea to then nearly entirely remake the game(with a higher budget as well) for the new system, you best you could hope for is a smoother version of the game but it'd still look crappy compared to the other games. It makes much more sense to release it on the DS(it's finished) and it's a nice finish to an awesome system.

The real dumb release is Okamiden which is coming a week before the rumoured 3DS date. Silliness that.

I can't even believe that Okamiden is being released for the DS. Seriously, anyone with common sense and a fair amount of money to back them up woudn't even invest in a standard DS system anymore. The past DS iterations (DSi included) pail in comparison to the Nintendo 3DS.

The graphics of the games on the 3DS are revolving in the ring between the Wii and XBOX. I can't imagine sitting in the loop with the DS anymore. It's time to move forward.

Still, the graphics of the new Golden Sun DS game aren't to bad. They are nice but not revolutionary, they sail along side of those of the Dragon Quest IX game.
