Topic: Get Resident Evil: Revelations for $20, or wait for Wii U version?

When I found out that RE:R was going for $20 (including on eShop), I've thought about getting it. But, I also know that it will be coming to the Wii U in 2 months, but at $50 ($40 if through Amazon right now). I'm having a hard time deciding to go handheld with it, or go console, as the experience may be quite different between the two (small screen and cheaper vs big screen and double the price).

If you have a friend to play with, don't hesitate to get the 3DS version.

I've played through the campaign 3 times and it took me about 21 hours (9 on easy, 4 on medium, 8 on hell). The real meat of the game is Raid mode, the problem is that the randomized community sucks.

Unfortunately, I don't know anyone who has the game, nor really anyone around me who has a 3DS for that matter.

Depends: are the benefits of portable gaming important to you, or are the possible benefits of console gaming important to you?

If waiting is another issue, then that should be another deciding factor.

Just for you.

Depends, if being more mobile is what you'd like I'd go with the 3DS but if that's not really an issue I'd say the Wii U version is the better buy.

The Only thing diferent about it is that on the wii u, you can have a messaging board and a few more Characters will be on it than the 3ds starting with Rachael, Hunk, I dont know about any more, all I know is that those 2 will be added to raid mode .I have it for 3ds. The game is awesome either way but I would wait and get it for wii u, because It will be in better Graphics.

There will be a few more changes, it will have a harder difficulty plus I think a few new monsters.

I'd wait. Not only will the changes the posters above me mentioned mean more content for your money, but chances are there'll be more people online for the Wii U version if you wait for that.

^More content for your money seems like the wrong term here. The core game is the same, and I doubt that there will be so many extras as to cover the extra $20-30

That's debatable. I'd consider the extra characters and monsters enough. It's subjective, however.

I would just wait for the Wii U version. HD, surround, Gamepad, and other extras will be worth it, especially if it costs $40 which is what I paid for the 3DS one.
