Topic: Games like Zelda/Chrono Trigger

I bought myself both zelda games for my 2ds, right now I have also ordered Chrono Trigger. I am looking for similar JRPGS that are more or less similar ds or 3ds. . I am definitely not a friend of random battles, and definitely not a hardcore rpgamer, so I guess games like etrian or shin megami are not for me. Any games that you would recommend? - I am new to the 2ds, that means I have passed on every game that ever came out for these systems. Personally I was thinking about Fire Emblem and Bravely Default

Bravely Default relies pretty heavily on its random battles. Fire Emblem is nothing like Zelda or Chrono Trigger, but it is an incredible piece of game design. In my amateur opinion, Fire Emblem is Nintendo's best, most epic and most polished series and Awakening is tied with Path of Radiance as the franchise pinnacle. It isn't what you're asking for, but it's a must-play, nonetheless.
