Topic: Gamecube titles you'd like to see as remake/3DS version

I recently went through my old gamecube games, unfortunately the cube doesn't look too good on big, modern LED TV sets but seeing how little polygons most games have Im pretty sure (as you can see with upcoming Luigis Mansion) the 3DS can perfectly handle gamecube titles on it's little screen. So Im interested what you guys think, what games from the gamecube library would be awesome on 3DS?

Here is MY list:

  • Resident Evil 1 (the remake) definitely the best of all
  • Metroid Prime
  • Burnout 2 (not happening but would be awesome)
  • Eternal Darkness (this would be OVERKILL awesome)
  • Rogue Squadron (yeah)
  • Star Wars Bounty Hunter (loved it back in the day)

There is no knowledge, that is not power.

I believe that you forgot to mention Wind Waker.
Rogue Squadron would also be a good one to remake.

I am glad that Luigi's Mansion and Animal Crossing are coming as new games. Wind Waker would obviously be an awesome remake.

Super Mario Sunshine would be neat to see in Super Mario 64 DS style. I'd love to see Luigi and Wario running about Isle Delfino and a couple of new levels and bosses. Maybe redesign Corona Mountain too...

The Legend of Zelda The Wind Waker would be my other vote, especially if it added the two or three cut dungeons and replaced the Triforce Quest with one or more of them. There's a lot of places in the game where content has obviously been cut out, so I'd love to see a remake that adds said content back. A Master Quest and boss rush wouldn't go amiss either.

I never had a Cube for very long, so there's a lot I missed out on.

  • Tales of Symphonia. Loved Tales of the Abyss, so I've been eager to play this one.
  • The Legend of Zelda: the Wind Waker. Nothing wrong with more Zelda!
  • Paper Mario: the Thousand Year Door. I've heard people say that it's the best in the series, but I think it'd be tough to top the N64 original, so I want to try it for myself.

Mr. Driller Drill Land, but there's a better chance of Shiftylook putting their own translated version on Steam and Ouya.

Super Mario 64!
I know, they released it for the DS, but I would like to see it in 3D and more like the original N64

as well as Super Mario Sunshine, as mentioned above (;

None. I'd rather have gamecube games on The Wii U.

This. Though it would be interesting if SSB Melee was on 3DS, thus giving us a glimpse as to the possibilities of the new 3DS Smash Bros.

I would love to see Tales of Symphonia remade, it has always been a game I've really wanted to play, but haven't been able to because of its rarity and price. I hear the 3DS version of Tales of the Abyss did moderately well and is pretty good, and I'm getting it for Christmas (hopefully) this year, so I'm really hoping for a remake.

Or as a VC game on the Wii U, either one works
