My most anticipated game on there. From the looks of it it could be a launch title too!

I wanted a Chocobo Racing for the DS sooo bad.

That'd be epic. Possible too, they just need to quit making them on PSP.

I had a look at the screenshots last night - love the game already.

Yeah, remember seeing a new game coming out and I thought it was for the DS honestly, but no...PSP. >_> lol

I'm not getting several games right away, I'll start with Kid Icarus Uprising.

Chocobo games typically go a really good job of mixing in new music with classic remixes.

But I'll be happy if they get the chocobo theme right (and they will)

With all these 3rd party games announced for the 3DS (many of which have never appeared on a Nintendo console before) added to the complete absence of the PSP from the show, has Sony completely lost the handheld war?

It's interesting; many expected the 3DS to try and compete with the iPhone, since they perceive that as the greatest threat to Nintendo's type of handheld gaming, whereas the PSP was perceived to be for an entirely different sort of experience (more like home consoles). Instead of focusing on digital distribution or more casual-ish titles, though, Nintendo came out blazing with the kind of big-budget, large scale games that one generally associates more with the PSP's intentions, mixed with plenty of trademark 1st party offerings for the big fans. Nothing was geared towards the bite-sized, heavily touchscreen oriented, or indie kind of gaming that has become a potential threat from Apple's online store.

So, it seems to me that they intend to become the platform for larger scale productions, and 3D plus the horsepower should ensure that. They don't seem to be fazed by the Apple competition after all. It's as if they are acknowledging that the quick, cheap gaming on the App Store will be hard to compete with, but there's still a need for more fleshed out titles which simply won't be possible on a phone (you need buttons, analog, and now 3D to make it compelling). Fascinating move, completely against much of the advice out there.

I think I may have died and gone to heaven! The only problem is, how will I afford everything that I want?!

Although the PSP was pretty much absent, there still was God Of War Ghost of Sparta and Patapon 3, but that's pretty much it.

i feel the 3DS will make the psp the next dreamcast! DOWN WITH SONY!!!
