I think that if Flipnote Memo or Flipnote studio 3D came out, I would go and make as much flips as possible.

Flipnote Memo... Slowly becoming the App that Nintendo forgot about.

^What are you talking about?

A. There was no apology over purchased color stars, considering how the parents would've payed for it with their money
B. Most kids didn't pay for color stars IIRC, preferring to glitch the system
C. Even so, they don't HAVE TO release it with an immediate partner (Screw Hatena for all I care, get someone new)
D. "The economy" is the crappiest reason I have ever heard.
E. Free apps = Less users? Teh fwa?

Smells like vaporware.

Saying "Ask your parent's permission before blah" is pretty much standard. It's not an apology.

And if it was finished, they'd release it. They wouldn't hold back due to "the economy" or "too many free apps". Otherwise they'd charge for the browser/Stop making games altogether

If they charged for Flipnote, I doubt the community would be active at all unless it went for a very low price. EDIT: Actually, maybe it will looking at Colors 3D, though it obviously won't reach DSi heights.

Anyways, unconfirmed searches say people who e-mailed Nintendo got responses saying they'll try to release it before January. UNCONFIRMED AND POTENTIALLY FALSE.

I want this just for the sake of pure mindless fun/cheap animation. Swapnote doesn't cover me, and I have no intention for paying for Colors 3D or Inchworm.

My guess is a WiiU one will be released with the 3DS one

If they charged for it, they'd likely have to pack a lot of content at a low price to make it attract people. Preferably

More colors
Easier flip searching
MORE TIME/FRAMES/SPACE
3D as a cheap gimmick to attract people? They already have the layers which most people use for crap reasons.
A better partner then Hatena, who seems to pride in making children pay for crap like stars/fails at deleting stolen shit moreso then YouTube/lacks form/makes searching hard as crap/has long ass loading times

to me it was odd that they didnt have this along with the release of the 3ds but what if they were waiting on the miiverse?

What? No why would it be exclusive? The XL is just a bigger 3DS not at all like the DSi was, the DSi XL didn't have exclusive stuff, maybe Flipnote will be built into future XLs but not exclusive

flipnote memo has a lot of possibilities. there were a lot of things the DSi wasn't able to accomplish due to limitations, but with the new hardware (and fan support/suggestion), they can add onto what was already a fantastic app. for example, it could be able to record more noise/music effects. the DSi could only record one minute, but the 3DS could maybe record up to 3 minutes, maybe more. it will certainly be possible to have the 3D effect added, and it likely will for two reasons:
1.) it's a f***ing 3DS. why not?
2.) it would add to the creative animation/art possibilities.
it could be like the 3D options on Colors!3D, where you could adjust the 3D layers with the D-Pad.

I'd like to see how well a 3D effect is implemented, considering how limited this utility will likely be (I expect maybe yellow and green added, and longer times for animation/audio (hopefully tenfold the space for lengthier smooth animations)

If you e-mail them, a consumer representative will likely give you an automated message with some minor difference to it. Some people report having responses saying they'll try to get it out before January. I got a generic response with no difference at all to the formula.

I recommend all of you at least try. Maybe some will get less vague answers.

I'm actually happy Flipnote isn't out yet... They are probably improving all of the horrid features from the original to make it more usable.

I mean, There was no easy way to copy and paste pages, not move them slightly, ETC. Plus the online connections were HORRID and it was impossible to search for one by name, instead you had to use these stupid random passwords.

If they fix all of these, then I'll consider working with this more. In the meantime, how about you guys buy inchworm animation to tide yourselves over?

And Inchworm costs cash, and it's incredibly complex without sound options. Most people who want Flipnote are looking for a thing to toy around with and have a fun little break (which is why searching should be easier). They don't want a complex animation tool. They can get Flash for that.
