Interesting, it almost seems more like a Dissida spin off. Can't really say much more from those shots, doesn't seem like it would utilize the 3D much.

Looks decent. kinda feels like it could've been done on ds. I'll have to see a full trailer before deciding first though. it is a rhythm game afterall.

Um Wow. This just saddens me to see a once great franchise end up like this. Come on Square do the right thing and put the Final Fantasy name out of its misery.

lol, overreact a little much? It's an experimental one-off side game. Or should we put Mario out of his misery because he was the star of a Dance Dance Revolution game?

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

I actually liked that game

This actuel looks like a decent game, apprently it has a plot of "saving the light". But a Rhythem RPG sounds like a good one, I'll prob pick it up.

Honestly this game would be so much more appealing to me if they characters weren't chibi. Maybe a different art style would make me accept them, but I don't really like the look of the game so far.

im just sick of all this chibi madness. its been overused for years. its time to find a better innovative style.

so i agree, that chibi looking kills the mood. they should do it with sprites like final fantasy 6, or even legend of mana.

I am now more excited for this game. Why? Its made by the same devs as TWEWY!

you gotta be kidding. if Jupiter makes it, then im sold.
they did two games that i spent the most time on my DS/3DS : TWEWY and Picross DS.
(well, dragonquest 9 had a solid first place, but it wasnt from them )

While I don't really hate nor do I truly like the art chibi illustration style it would have been so much better if they'd gone with a art style similar to that of 'Final Fantasy The Four Heroes of Light' or even better that of 'The World Ends With You'.

Nevertheless, despite the art style, I think that I will eventually purchase this game.

I would have preferred sprites too. Or even low end 3D models to be completely honest. I hate the big head, tooth pick body look Lightning has in that screenshot, but if Jupiter is making this game I have faith and will wait to judge it. Besides an actual RPG just with rythm based battle instead of magic and levels sounds interesting.

I really am shocked and totally and completely floored at the art style but I've always been proven wrong more often than not in that it is game play that matters in the end and not exactly the illustration style. I really do wish they'd gone with 'The World Ends With You' art style but if this game is inexpensive and makes good use of the 3D effect along with innovative game play that surpasses that of Rhythm Heaven and Elite Beat Agents then I'll more than likely but it.

I like chibi style overall but I prefer the chibi style that you see on the top screen of the 3DS for DOA: dimensions. The game itself isn't chibi (obviously) but when you have the cursor over DOA: dimensions on the menu theres a kawaii chibi Kasumi on the top screen with cherry blossoms surrounding her.

Is that on the 3DS home menu? Samurai Warriors does the same thing. I'm not opposed to the chibi characters, but these screenshots make them look like dolls or puppets. It's kind of hard to tell from the scans, so maybe it works better when you see it in-game. Maybe it will end up having a storybook vibe, like Kirby's Epic Yarn, or the levels in Yoshi's Story that look like fabric.

Yes, I am talking about the 3DS home menu and I can see what you mean about the characters in this game looking like dolls or puppets. The art style could be a little better.

Walks into thread...grasp and panics and then quietly withdraws.

I have no idea what you guys are talking about as I don't own either of those software.

Here is some new information on the game. I'm not surprised that Chaos and Cosmos are in it as the logo looks like it has them on it. Songs I'm hoping for are Seymour omnis, (FFX) Born anew and fighting fate (both from FFXIII).

Reading more about it and it does sound like it could end up being pretty decent, still can't get over that horrible art style though, it reminds me a lot of the avatars in Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded, in fact I think it's the same one.
