Topic: First Person Shooters

I haven't heard about any FPS's for the 3DS. I remember in an interview with Iwata that the 3DS's motion controlls could be very useful for FPS's, but they never listed any FPS games. What would be a good 3DS FPS game? What would you want to see in 3D first person shooter? I have owned only 1 FPS game and that is Metroid Prime Hunters. I just got into FPS's recently and never really heard about any for the 3DS.

I don't know. My philosophy on this would probably be First-Person+3D=Massive Headache. Also it just wouldn't work out so well if that anolog slider is above the control pad.

I would like to see another shot at Metroid Prime: Hunters. It would have controls similar to the GameCube Metroid Prime games, which are less clunky than the ones in Metroid Prime: Hunters. Plus, it would be great for online! There is yet to be an announcement for a 3DS Metroid game, so maybe this would work if the game isn't Metroid Dread.

Prime Hunters controlled fine for me, I could see it working just fine for this thing. Would like to play a Prime Hunter sequel in 3D, would be nice. (just be sure to fix the single player flaws..>_>)

I want to see Sin and Punishment 1 and 2 on 3DS, I played the game on Wii and it was AWESOME! I really want to see that on 3DS. I know this will never happen because this is Nintendo and not Microsoft but I want Halo on 3DS for sure! This is all I can think of at the moment.

Yeah, it is kind of unfourtunate that Bungie left Microsoft, but couldn't take Halo with it.

I want a new Sin and Punishment on 3DS, too, but not if it's going to be an FPS.

From what I can tell, Microsoft and Nintendo are on pretty friendly terms. They did let Rare develop for the DS, after all, (Viva Pinata and Diddy Kong Racing DS.) If Microsoft never makes a portable console, (and there's a good chance they won't, after what happened with the Zune,) there's always the possibility of them bringing Halo to a system that isn't owned by them. It would sell gangbusters regardless of where it is.
I wouldn't count on it, though.

That would be nice. I really hope that "Kid Icarus: Uprising" will play a lot like Sin and Punishment.

@Supernin10do, from the trailer for "Kid Icarus: Uprising" it looks like it might play like Sin and Punishment.

@moomoo, Well maybe they just might do it, I'm not surprised what Nintendo can do and will do. I also saw a recent photo of Iwata and a representative for Mircrosoft shaking hands, I didn't get a chance to read the article, that's one of the reasons I was hoping the Halo franchise would come the 3DS.

I played the Demo for the game. But I never bought it. I really did not care for her suit, I like Metroid without the suit

I hope that the 3D technology could be used in an FPS so that objects could fly at you in 3D. What if you were shooting a gun that throws bullet shells towards you as you shoot!

Jools from Renegade Kid already said they want to 3DS FPSs. So expect a new Dementium.... in 3D!!

I'm sure you will see that from Nintendo. At the E3 they said that would happen, this is why I'm so excited about the 3DS YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What about Call of Duty was it not FPS on the DS? I never played the one on 3DS just on the home consoles. I'm sure Nintendo will have Call of Duty a FPS on the 3DS, there's no way Nintendo would pass up FPS games on the 3DS.

Deus Ex on 3DS would be awesome, lack of dual analog might put some off though, not tried the stylus for any DS FPS, but can't see how you could use both stylus controls and the 3D effect on 3DS, seeing as they are 2 seperate screen, but I've played FPS shooters on digital controllers and enjoyed them just fine, so a single analog is fine with me, as long as it doesn't require super precision aiming anyway.
