To be fair, in the original, spamming Alakazam would assure you of a victory. Max out its speed and it would destroy anything before anything got a chance to counter attack.

I would like to see the original European release of Link's Awakening since it's the only uncensored release outside of Japan. All American releases (and unfortunately also the European DX version) are disfigured by one of the most ridiculous censorship decisions ever made by Nintendo of America ("OMG a bikini top in a videogame. We have to replace it with a necklace to protect the children."). As much as I love Nintendo's games but the persons responsible for their (former) censorship policies had to complete morons.

My example was only a small ridiculous censorship. But I don't like the idea of some morality police (state or company) messing books, movies, videogames up because of some stupid political or religious concerns. I just want to experience a videogame in the version it was originally meant to be by the developers. So why should I be happy about censorship made by other people who want to force their moral values on me? They have just no right to decide what's appropriate for me to read, to watch or to play.

Yes, it does in the German translation. I don't know the Japanese text. The German translator (Claude M. Moyse) was notorious for his sometimes really strange translations (especially Link's Awakening and Secret of Mana). Unfortunately his works differ extremely from the original so I prefer the English translations nowadays (until I learn Japanese). I guess this sentence is the best proof for his very free translations:

Translation: "NEVER WITHOUT A CONDOM!"
