Topic: First 15 Years of Zelda on the 3DS with ALttP and Majora's!

With the Oracle games now out, the only games left from the series's first 15 years are A Link to the Past and Majora's Mask.

But, with the the game currently referred to as "A Link to the Past 2" coming out later this year, wouldn't Ninty want to release the SNES ALttP to the virtual console ahead of time as a promotion? Or maybe they will bundle it with A Link to the Past 2? Or maybe it will be an unlockable reward for beating the new game? Also, there have been repeated (although none confirmed) rumors of Majora's Mask being remade in 3D, like the 3DS release of Ocarina of Time. After the new game is released, will this be Nintendo's next 3DS Zelda project?

If so for both of these, that means we could have the first decade and a half of Zelda sitting in our pocket!

(And, no, I do not count the CDi games. )

There are two things I would very much like to see happen in the 3DS's lifetime, as I'm sure many people would as well: the release of Majora's Mask 3D, and the launch of the Super Nintendo on the 3DS Virtual Console.

Regarding your comment about releasing ALttP prior to its sequel, it has been confirmed for a Wii U Virtual Console release, so even if it isn't on 3DS yet, it's kind of happening.

But yes, I agree with you, I'd love to see both games on the 3DS in some form.

Definitely. I've got my Legend of Zelda folder loaded up on my 3DS. This is my favorite time period of games. Actually they started losing me around Ocarina of Time I hate to say. It was a fun game that I played the heck out of but the jump to 3D definitely changed the series. I do hope they push it to 3DS as a tie-in with the sequel though.
