Ah. Sorry about the goofball with the pot on his head, his skill will make him grow fast and that's about the only good thing about him, since the stats will grow quickly.

Children can inherit the traits of their parents, correct? I think Donnell might potentially make good breeding stock.
Stahl was kind of hot, and I wanted to ship him with my MC, but, alas, I wasn't going to restart that battle when I was so close to completing it to keep him from dying.
Are mages kind of overpowered in this game? My MC is particularly impressive with magic. She can mow down almost any enemy in one attack right now.
The animated cutscenes in this game have the most gorgeous visuals I've ever seen in a handheld title.
@Ralizah - Most mages are weak at first, mainly from swords, axes and the like but most enemies are weak to magic so it is a bit of a yes and no. Magic tends to do more but those characters tend to die faster. Donnel is a punishment, he'll lower a lot of stat caps on his children

@Ralizah
I find that Dark Mages are a bit better than the regular mages. They can use dark magic which gives access to Nosferatu, the most broken weapon in the game.

@Aqueous Actually, he raises the stats of things like luck, and gives male children access to the mercenary class (armsthrift). Because of that I was able to get Owain 51 luck and Armsthrift and spent plenty of gold on forged brave equipment.
My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.
Sorry to interrupt the discussion, but I was wondering if you bought the physical game of the download version, What version do you think is best?
They should be exactly the same. If you like physical copies of your games, get the cart. If you like convenience, get the download version.
I'm playing a physical copy of the game, but if you're having problems finding the game in a store or can't get it under $40, the download version is perhaps the way to go.
@Sjoerd There are no real differences besides convenience and being able to resell it. I seldom sell my games and it was all sold out near me, so I went digital and I don't regret it.

I think I wrote it down wrong, I wanted to know which type you had and why. I'm not that fond of downloading retail games, but I'll probably play this for a long time, so I figured it might be handy to download it. I'm a sucker for physical games, so I'll probably get that one. Thanks!

YOU KILLED RICKEN!?!?! Eh, I don't care he's pretty useless. You only need one of two Sages (the primary promotion of Mages) and Lissa makes a good Healer/Sage.

I was worried about who I was going to pair Maribelle up with after he died, but I think I'm going to have her get with Donnell. The two seem like they might be compatible.
I'm a bit OCPD about my games, so it is hard to swallow the loss of two characters, but I don't think it'll end up being any huge loss in the long run.
Reached Ch. 11 now, got a new Beast stone for Panne, have upgraded Lon'qu to swordmaster, and just acquired Anna. I thought I obtained Olivia as well, but I can't find her in my ranks anywhere. :/ And I'm a bit worried about the kind of abusive relationship between Panne and Kellam.
Am I the only one annoyed by the fact that when you recruit Emmeryn, she only has supports with the Avatar? Why can't she talk to her own siblings for crying out loud? Same thing for Yen'Fey and Say'Ri.

@WingedFish No, it killed me too. And (spoiler) in the A support with a male avatar she remembers you. I thought that was pathetic, oh yes, I'll remember the newest Shepard recruit but not my own two siblings.
