I just thought I'd mention I recieved this as a birthday gift. It's quite nice so far, though I've yet to get far.
Who is you favorite character at the moment?
That's a good question. All of the characters have been immediately endearing, which is the first I've ever said that about any Fire Emblem character, let alone the entire current cast. If I had to choose one, I'd lean towards Fredrick. He seems like an honest, intelligent man.
All the FE are not set in the same universe. As far as I know, FE1-5 (and Awakening) are in the same universe just on different continents and in different time periods. Obviously FE6/7 are in the same universe as well as FE9/10. FE8 (Sacred Stones) seems to be the only standalone game unrelated to any of the others.
Actually this game confirms them to all be in the same universe. And that has been what people have theorized for awhile.
What exactly is it that confirms it? Don't tell me just because that Priam guy who claims to be Ike's descendant (most probably Mist/Boyd descendant, lol) is in it.

No, it's the fact that he Chrom mentions every continent in the dlc. If you want to debate if the dlc is canon go ahead. Also Priam claiming to be Ike would at least prove Tellius to take part in the same universe. It doesn't mean he's a direct descendant of Ike but it means they would have to know who that is to claim it. And yes there is the possibility that he could be Mist/Boyd's descendant considering Marth was called a descendant of Anri despite coming from Anri's brother's lineage. There's also the fact that IkexSoren is believed to be fact and all that jazz.

Man, and here I was just starting to think the whole "multiple universes" theory.
Wait, the IkexSoren thing is believed to be true? Some people have spent a little too much time on FanFiction/DeviantArt...

Well as it's strongly hinted at the whole series and Ike doesn't have any meaningful supports with any women plus he does just take off on his own with Soren right behind him. And you have to remember this is a game written by japanese people the things that don't necessarily fly in the west are fine over there, things like incest, so it's not so crazy.
Though, my theory is that Ike was the first Blue haired hero and he went from continent to continent knocking up royalty and eventually royalty started having blue hair, people like Sigurd, Seliph, Hector, Marth, etc. Which is why they're also so op. Ike is the progenitor.
@Ihsoy: it depends on what difficulty you're playing, really. I'm tempted to say that the 'flaw' and 'asset' thing don't really matter much except maybe in the very beginning when it's harder to get stat-boosting items tbh. either way, you can't go wrong with Luck as an asset (especially later on when you start picking up skills based on your Luck stat), but I went with Speed for mine since i really, really like hitting twice (or 4x) and I wanted to be able to do so as early and as much as possible :3

Definitely debatable. And I wouldn't that state it as being definite either. I can see the point being made that because of Priam, Tellius might be set in the same world, but Elibe and Magvel are another topic. Plus, there'd be a ton of inconsistencies if instead of games being set in multiple universes, they are all in set in the same one.
That's why FE10 not having supports was kinda a big deal for me. Instead of building upon the first game, they said "screw it" and decided to take away supports and the option to decide the endings. I'm guessing because Ike is not of royal blood, they decided to give him an ambiguous ending. But to only have a paired ending with Soren or Ranulf? C'mon. !#@! I'm done, we've gone off topic. ;D
Also, gotta stop buying DLC! The artwork is great (just bought Lyn) but other than that, eh. I wish they had a few speaking lines...

I think Luck is a good asset mainly because it not only gives you a plus 10% growth rate for your luck, (which is pretty important), but also plus 5% for both Strength and Magic.
It can also depend on what build you're going for. Since Tactician and Grandmaster use both sword and magic, Luck is a good fit but it might not be if you want to be a General or something.

@CapnPancakes: Luck might still be okay for the avatar if you wanted to be a General... just don't choose Skill, Speed, or Strength as your flaw, and be sure to go Grandmaster to pick up Ignis. it's still gonna help you out at least a little in strength-based classes, and there's so many classes to choose from you might change your mind about staying a General anyway :3
idk, i guess when you get down to the brass tacks of building the 'perfect' team, this kind of thing becomes more important, but for a first playthrough it's not really anything to stress over IMO. just enjoy the game the first time around, and mess around with this stuff later :3

What inconsistencies are we talking about? And Radiant Dawn and PoR were originally the same game so that is part of the reason for some of the gameplay decisions in RD.

Reading the supports, to me it just seems like he's just good friends with Soren and friends with Ranulf, can't say it seems like he has anything romatic with any of his supports though.
Has anyone purchased Infinite Regalia? If so, what level were the deadlords? I'm thinking of getting it since it's a high difficulty and since I can get amazing weapons from it. Ones like Nidhogg would be amazing, since it gives a bonus to luck and you could partner it with Armsthrift to get a powerful infinite use bow.
My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.
I'm sure someone asked this before, but after checking on my game to get the spotpass maps, I noticed the game leaves me before I faced Grima. (The file started me back up in battle actually) but I swear I saved after I beat the game.
