I love how this topic turned from a strategy RPG to a relationship topic. :'(

It's still a strategy RPG topic, we're discussing the best strategy to get the best unit :)

Exactly.
We're talking about the game's human-breeding system. Think Pokemon, but with people.

This being the real first Fire Emblem game I have played through, any suggestions on what old games to try to get ahold of? I have Sacred Stones on my 3DS as part of being an ambassador program person.
I wanted to look at the Game Cube or Wii ones, but I really don't want to dish out the money people ask for them online, and Gamestops around here don't have them

@moomoo So you're saying, If I leave Chrom and Sully in the day-care, I'll find a human egg?

@Sensei_PikPik Yes. Except the day care is slashing zombies into bits on a team. And they'll talk to each other. And you have to rescue the egg from enemies. And the egg is fully grown, and ready to be put in the daycare. Maybe it's just a little different :)

The Gamecube game, Path of Radicance, and it's sequel Radiant Dawn, for the Wii, are good starts but the only way you're not going to pay those hefty prices are by finding those games at gamestop or some other gamestore. I think Fire Emblem, the first one that was released here on the GBA, is a little cheaper online but I find this game is usually not a great place to start as it can be one of the more tedious games.

@Joshers
You're going to have a hard time trying to find Path of Radiance or Radiant Dawn for less than $35. The first GBA game is cheaper, but it is very, very, hard. I'm playing through it right now and it takes quite a bit of patience to beat the Chapters, but really, all Fire Emblem games do.

If I can find a copy at a reasonable price (seriously, I just looked on Amazon and a USED game is over $70!), I'll get Path of Radiance. It sucks, because I'm wanting to get more into the series, but practically all the previous games have astronomical prices. Heck, Awakening is already starting to become a little scarce (and thus cost more) not counting eShop.

I know. I don't know how people are supposed to get more in the series when you can't find the darn games anywhere unless you want to spend a crazy amount on an old game. I'm hoping for a sequel to Awakening myself anyway. I don't know what the chances of that is though.
Here is at least hoping for Chrom to make it in the next Smash Bros.

They better make a sequel to Awakening. I'd like to see some way to use the marriages from the first game to affect the second one.

Hmm, I wonder what ending will/would be canon though. But I won't spell them out since that would be uber spoiler territory.

@Skywardlink Imagine all the support conversations then... no.

However, I would love a sequel to Awakening. It seems there have been far too many games recently that have been "good for someone just starting the series".

I was thinking the same thing actually.

OOBER (however it's spelled) SPOILER TERRITORY
SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER

I tried both endings. Personally, I liked the one where you 'sacrifice' yourself. One reason being because you actually survive, and no longer have the Grima sign on your hand.
