Topic: Fire Emblem Kakusei (Awakening)

I noticed that I didn't see a more general topic on this game (I DID look through over 20 pages of topics in the forums, so just wanted to put out there that I did try to look!). I hope this page can serve as a conversation topic for people in all regions to discuss this game, trade friend codes, and talk about the plot when it comes to their own regions.

I do live in Japan and have been playing this game for months now. I totally love it, and would love to discuss the game with other FE fans.

@Tsuchinoko I've been browsing Serenes forest, so I know enough about the characters to have a nice conversation. The only thing I'm holding out on is the plot, so don't you spoil anything for me!

what is the release date for europe and america?

2013. I think that they're aiming for the first quarter. It looks like it might be the best one yet! (coming from a fan who has played every American release)

I was literally just thinking of making a topic for this before I found this one. Anyway, what is taking the localization team so freaking long!? I really wish they'd give us at least a release date already. This is going to be my first ever Fire Emblem game, so I'm really looking forward to it! Ike, Marth, Roy, Lyn, Soren, and all the other FE characters that I'm familiar with (which is to say not many, I only first heard of FE when I got Brawl) all in one game!? Talk about paradox... And yes, I know for a FACT that all the above and more are going to be DLC, so they WILL be there!

Don't forget about Hector! He's a tank!

@Happy_Mask Don't worry, I won't spoil plot points for you. All I can say is that I'm enjoying the story a lot, the characters are really fun, and the gameplay is addictive.

Who'd you have your MU marry?

@Tsuchinoko MU is the unit you create. Who'd you have them marry?

Oh, that. I never use him! Haha, I don't know if that's bad or not. I had him marry Ana, not for any real purposes, same as with Kuromu. I think actually Kuromu married some random unit that I didn't use much, but just from the few times I used her they got close enough to get married. I was a little shocked. I don't even remember anything about their story together.

Are you doing spotpass chapters? And if so, were you surprised with the most recent character gained?

The free chapters that you download? (not the Marth dlc deal). And who's your favorite unit?

@Happy_Mask Oh, I see. We call that いつの間に通信 (Itsu no ma ni tsuushin) and we also have すれ違い通信 (Sure-chigai tsuushin). I've gotten the free chapters to show up on the map, but they haven't been opened up as playable yet, maybe since I'm not done with the main game.

My favourite? I guess Rukina and Veiku for a tie, they're both pretty cool. I also like Nono, and Sarya, and Uudo. I'm not sure how they are spelled in English or other European languages.

Rukina=Lucina, Veiku=Wyck, Nono=Nono, Sarya=Sallya and Uudo=Eudes (according to Serenes forest). Sarya and Henri have to be my favorites, as they're both dark mages and have awesome personalities.

@Happy_Mask Sarya and Henri have completely opposing personalities. haha

I love Veiku's personality, he's just so cool. I really have no idea how he'd sound in English. I think he and all the character's voices just fit so well.

I love Rukina because she is so strong. The game have a very nice cast of female characters. Strong women seem to be a big theme in the game.

@Tsuchinoko what chapter are you on? I already know how many there are, but in case you don't I won't spoil it

@Happy_Mask I'm on chapter 20. I'm purposely playing this game really slow, only playing a new chapter every week or so. That's how much I'm enjoying the game. Are you playing it as well? You seem to know a lot about it.
