Story

the main character Krom is prince of the Kingdom of Iris

• Krom is Lord class and wields a weapon called Sealed Sword Falchion
• create your own unit and companion
• choose gender
• pick face parts and other areas
• companion character is the other main character
• the meeting between Krom and this character is a major moment in the game's story
• two gameplay elements: Free Maps and the Dual system
• Free Maps lets move across the map and buy goods or take part in battle
• Dual system lets you and an ally enter a battle together
• ally character will help out with his/her own attacks
  Classic Mode where fallen characters are perished forever.
  Casual mode where fallen characters can be revived after battles
  Three difficulty levels normal, hard, and lunatic
  More than 40 job classes including Mage, Tactician, Cleric, and Cavalier.
• Characters will be able to do a class change later in the game
  will be the first Nintendo game with paid downloadable content.

So who else is ready for some SRPG action. Going to pick up Shadow Dragon in prep for this. Also this unoffically gives us the dates when GBA games may be released to the public.

I'm not terribly good at SRPGs, but I love me some portable Fire Emblem.

And someday I will make it to the ending of one (my compulsion to keep retrying levels until all of my comrades have made it out alive has been a major hindrance on that front).

Never played FE, this could be my first. If it comes out in NA that is.

I love the cover and character art. Fire Emblem is such a fun and addictive seires, really hoping for a NA announcement soon.

Krom looks like a samurai who was raised by the Fab Five.

Great news that it's already been confirmed for Europe (which means also Australia).

I hope we get an American release date soon.

Not sure why people hat the new art style. It reminds of the Advance Wars: Days of Ruin artstyle which I love. ninty needs to put a wallpaper for the game up and bring that eshop card over.

Also It looks like The created character is an actual unit this time.

I'm so excited for this game! I've only recently got into Fire Emblem and I love it. Hope we get a North America release.
If I don't go with the classy cleavage lady, I'd probably pick the first dude.

There are other ones if you look at that picture with all the faces in the op.

Wonder if the game will also have online play.

I am resigned to the fact that Nintendo of America will hold this over our heads just like Xenoblade and the Last Story.

Oh but it'll be worth the wait.

I like the art style too.

I'm really looking forward to it, new art style might take me some getting used to but that's okay. I bet it's gonna be a blast. Oh, and I'm not really questioning whether or not it'll come out here, they'll announce it eventually, I'm positive.

The Box art is godly.

That is arguably one of the coolest box arts ever I have to say. I always approve when games get an anime art style that isn't cliched or shameful, which is sadly rare at times for japanese RPGs.

Now that's epic.

While i'm all for SRPG goodness i'm suprised Nintendo hasn't tried to leverage the Fire Emblem brand into a JRPG or a Warriors type game.
