Topic: Fire Emblem 2 Part Series Rumored

There’s a rumor that a new set of Fire Emblem games are in development for the 3DS. They’re supposedly called Fire Emblem: Blue Sacred Sword and Red Demon Lance. This is a summary of the game:

The game will take place 100 years after Sealed Sword, the story centers around Princess of Kingdom Bern and Prince of Kingdom Lycia, each will have different story in their perspective. The game will also have new Casual Mode for beginners and Lunatic Mode for advanced players.
Remember, this is a rumor. Still, it’s an interesting one.

There's usually an event in Japan around the end of September or start of October, so I suppose if it's true, it could be revealed then. That said, even if it is true, since we're still waiting on Mystery of the Emblem, I don't hold much hope for this leaving Japan either.

As for my opinion, why would they try to do a Pokemon game-gimmick with Fire Emblem? To me that doesn't make any sense.

i read about it too and think that sounds like it would be a good game. the two game thing is because it's about a prince and a princess of two different cities. It's not really like pokemon though. Pokemon does that because they always have and there's two main legendaries per game. This is different in that it's about two different people's perspective. Hence why it's two games if it's true

Please localize these for NA! I will buy both immediately. /me holds out wallet to Nintendo. Please?

I still want to see the second DS Fire Emblem game localized for NA. But this is wonderful news if the rumor turns out to be true.

Fire Emblem games have done that in the past, though. Some of them have more than one main character with completely different subplots. I guess it's not totally unbelievable, but this rumor sounds kind of fake. Still, I hope they've got a new Fire Emblem game in the works.

It still frustrates me that I'll be missing out on half of the story because I'm not willing to pay $80 for both versions. The original GBA Fire Emblem told the story from three different perspectives, if I'm not mistaken: Elwood's, Hector's, and Lynn's. Now this one only has two, so they've decided to split it up into two games? Then again, we know next to nothing about these games, so they could end up being so radically different from each other that they're basically releasing two new Fire Emblem games at once. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Ok, so where the heck are people getting this crazy idea that it would be two different games from? None of the linked sites say anything along those lines, and they all word it as if it would be one game.

Furthermore, most of the fire emblem games don't follow one persons perspective, and of the localised ones, only Shadow Dragon and Path of Radiance follow one person. The rest follow more.

Still, if they use the ugly art style from the DS fire emblem games, they can shove it. I really do not want to see anything vaguely resembling that "art style", if you can call it that ever again.

Thank you...my sentiments as well...sad when the older GBA art style is far beyond better than the newer DS titles. DS was flat and had zero personality.

Good call. All of the sites speak of the game in singular form. They never say "these games..." but instead they state "the game..." There goes that worry! I did think that it was pretty outlandish as the Fire Emblem series has never done that before.

Considering we never sniffed New Mystery of the Emblem in all this time, even if it is true, who says we're likely to get it?

The rumors only talks about ONE game. I have no idea where people are getting the idea of two games from. Are you all so used to seeing only colored names in Pokemon games and have to separate a single game into 2 just because of the name? This kind of name has been used in the series before. And the game following two (or more) separate heroes? It's been done in both Sacred Stones and Radiant Dawn already. Heck it's been done in Gaiden. This will be ONE game, not two.
