Apparently it's too much to ask to get more than one good RPG (I love me some Child of Light) on the Wii U.

I'm kind of hoping this game doesnt have too many MH elements in it. A standard RPG from Squeenix is just fine

Hopefully it does have some similarities to Crystal Chronicles. The one on Gamecube was sooooooo good. Give me that game with online multiplayer and I'll be there day one.

I kinda liked Crystal Bearers, the previous ones were a million times better and it almost definitely wasn't an RPG but it was still somewhat fun.

A final fantasy action RPG ehh? This might give me a reason to like square again this or dragon quest XI on the 3ds.

Capcom at E3: Guys we're sorry about how we've been treating Mega Man so we're gonna make it up to you by releasing the Mega Man Cancelled Collection with all the titles we cancelled in the condition they we're in just before we pulled the plug. Now who wants Street Fighter X Monster Hunter?

This game was such a let down. The one on the DS is also mediocre at best..
I'd do some terrible things to have a legit sequel. Both the 3DS and Wii U would be perfect for it.

Is there a gameplay trailer for this? I still haven't seen it in motion and only heard what it's like here.

Come on Square, pictures are cool and all. However, I'd like to see a gameplay trailer for the game. Throw us a bone here.

-Supports local and internet multiplayer
-About 20 jobs. Besides the already shown knight, white mage, monk, and black mage, there's also dragoon, paladin, thief, ninja, red mage, time mage, bard, and freelancer.
-You can assign up to 8 abilities to various buttons in combat.
-Even though it looks like Monster Hunter, it feels more like FF11/FF14-lite. Positioning and orientation is important, and there's an ability synergy system.
-There's a combat log that shows damage numbers and such.
-You can swap around weapons and armor, but you can also swap around abilities too. You can learn abilities on one job and use them on others.
-However, the cost of abilities is different if used on a job they don't come from. For example, the cost of black magic is halved on black mage compared to other jobs.
-Set on an island with many areas that you can freely explore
-It'll be possible to recruit monsters you defeat. You can create a party of two players and two monsters (not sure if this is the only setup, but it's what's given)
-There's lots to do after the main story is completed. They're talking 100~200 hours of play.
-They're developing the game to give the spirit of FF in a multiplayer RPG.

I loved Crystal Chronicles for its action oriented gameplay and I hope that this will be a nice mix of that one, with traditional levels, items etc and a bit of Monster Hunter scale.
The length of the game makes me worried if it will be too similar to MH - hour long battles on a handheld aren't always the ideal way to go. Crystal Chronicles had levels that lasted about 30 minutes each, and its length was mostly due to the fact that you had different playthrough each time you began a "year" and it made the game less repetitive.
Anyway, I think it jumped into my most anticipated game for the 3DS.

From what I've read, this game seems pretty cool. The action RPGs always grab my attention more than turn based RPGs.

Scans have surfaced and it actually looks like a more 3D version of Crystal Chronicles. It doesn't look mind blowing, but there cane be a few bigger enemies on screen, so I guess they need extra power for keeping smooth framerate. Might as well turn out to be a blast in multiplayer.
