Will you guys stop talking a out game LOL. I'm stuck at work and delivering today. I might pop the game in here and listen to the music through my speakers!

Oh and quick question. Does this game have a story?

Yes but it's not much. According to Wiki:

The game follows the events of the gods Chaos and Cosmos, a similar plot to Dissidia Final Fantasy for the PlayStation Portable. The space between the two is called Rhythm, which gives birth to a crystal that controls music. Chaos causes the crystal to become disrupted, and the only way to return it to normal is to increase a music wave known as "Rhythpo". As such, various characters from the Final Fantasy universe are brought together in order to harness the power of Rhytpo.

So, I started playing the Dark Note section last night after finishing the "main" sequence section, and I was very happy indeed to find the Chocobo theme song was in there.

Yay Chocobo!

@LollipopChoSaw Yeah, I was wondering where that theme was up till that point.
It seems to pop up quite a lot during the Dark Notes. :P

I'm leaving to go to a Mario Tennis Open tournament in a minute, so while I'm there I'm going to see if I can find someone to test the Multi Play with.

If I'm lucky I could get some StreetPass too, but I'm not expecting to considering the game isn't meant to be out until tomorrow and you actually have to play for a few hours before the StreetPass feature even gets unlocked.

As it should. It is the happiest tune ever put in a videogame.

Not even a slight exaggeration there, either. I love that song.

Off-topic, but I wonder if we've ever streetpassed.

So I'm guessing if I don't like Final Fantasy (or rather haven't played a single game in the series) and hate the art style I won't like the game? What if I can enjoy good VGM no matter the series. Would I get some enjoyment out of it then at a cheaper price?

@Retro_on_theGo - Well, Theatrhythm probably won't do as much for you as it would a series fan since nostalgia plays a large part in its appeal (forget the actual stages, some of the songs from the menu screens triggered some pretty strong Final Fantasy memories for me), but it's a fun rhythm game in its own right and the series has always had some of the best VGM in the business. I think you can enjoy it based on those merits, although I probably wouldn't recommend it at full asking price for a non-FF fan.

yeah this is clearly a fanservice game. But not in that shameful and uncreative FFX-2 sort of way.

It's a very nice selection (Cosmo Canyon, The Final Battle and A Fleeting Dream are my favorites from this initial group), but I think I'll wait until there's a wider variety of songs available (nothing from VI or IX yet!?) and until I've put a lot more time into Theatrhythm before I start considering DLC.

I haven't played any Final Fantasies, but I'm getting it. Why? You don't need to be a fan of the series to know that music is BEAUTIFUL.

I think I might pick this up towards the end of the month if I can convince my Grandma to lend me a bit of cash, because I already have money down on Kingdom Hearts. Still keep the impressions coming I need more info!!

I had way to much fun with this game tonight. Simple yet hard at times. Loving the music and all the stuff to unlock! Definitely a Final Fantasy fans dream!!
