same here — i especially enjoyed the bad-guy-punching song, that was a lot of fun. i love Elite Beat Agents, and I love Rhythm Heaven; there's nothing wrong with a game that gives me more of what I love IMO :3

Well it would suddenly be A-OK if it was copying Smash Bros, the only worthwhile fighting game. Clearly.

But these games look different and have different concepts than the ones they're copying.

Anyways, I look forward to have to spend my money on both this and Rhythm Thief.

I pre-ordered (and paid for) my copy today.
Now to wait till Thursday when it comes out here.

I passed on Rhythm Thief, but this game really impressed me.

I'm buying it Friday with Rhythm Paradise.

That was me at first but now I've logged about 6 hours on the demo. HAHAHA I'm spending way more time on this than I thought I would. Thursday can't come any faster! Hopefully my preorder won't take too long to arrive in the mail.

I've mastered the FF13 song on ultimate mode but FF8 is giving me a hard time, guess I'll stick to expert for that.

Sorry I missed your post there. There are only two tracks in the demo. The Man With A Machine Gun from FF8 and The Sunleth Waterscape from FF13. Japan got another demo which had a fight against Ultros (FF6) to the song Decisive Battle. It looked like a ton of fun and sold me on the game when I first saw it. The gameplay isn't different from the demo we got though.

The only thing I hated about Rhythm Thief was that it got so darn hard near the end,heck I haven't even completed it yet.
To be honest Theatrhythm is more similar to Elite Beat Agents,than Rhythm Thief ever was.

Got the game today (it doesn't have a strict street date so I was able to pick up my pre-order even though it's not officially out until Thursday).
Loving it so far.

I've never really played Final Fantasy before, so I guess Theatrhythm is kind of an odd entry point for me, but I can't remember the last time I had this much fun with a rhythm game. There's so much to it, it's a real standout title. Full marks for Square Enix and indieszero.

I've never really gotten into any Final Fantasy games besides maybe Final Fantasy IV (the DS remake), but this is awesome fun.

Got it today! Almost didn't get my preorder bonus. I was told the stylus was in the case and I opened it when I was outside and saw no stylus or stickers. Turns out only some copies have the stylus (they thought it was in all the cases) so they then gave me the bonus so yay. Played in order from FF to FFVIII so far and it's pretty cool. Actually managed to complete a Dark Note through sheer dumb luck ( (I'm awful at rhythm games and it was so freaky fast) but couldn't manage the next one I got. The one I cleared had Mambo de Chocobo (FFV) and Ending Movie (XII).

Just finished my profile. I chose 'Forgotten, Useless Freelancer' for my byline (Freelancer due to my online name) and my message is 'FFVIII is best!' Got one measly trophy so far and stuck Squall in my design. Sadly, the area in my close proximity never has anyone carrying 3DS's around. I'd have to walk to the crappy mall (where I got my copy) to get SPs. It's in walking distance but it's still a fair bit away (my feet are tired by the time I come back). Guess I'll have to do that just to get other people's profiles :/

Can't wait for the DLC to come out. I want Ride on.

P.S. Wow cool. I didn't realize the profile card had a backside. Shows my current party and some stats. Neat.

I'm playing the game right now,and of course all of the tracks that play during the actual stages are lovely (and preserved just as they were in the original games), but I wasn't expecting to hear the lovely new renditions of classic songs that play on the menus; that personal favorites like "Rose of May" and "Hunter's Chance" were suddenly in my ears caught me completely by surprise.

Why doesn't North America have this demo? >:0

I've been playing for 11:25 already since I got it yesterday afternoon (It's 7:25am here). D:

My highest level character is now 71 and I have over 20,000 Rhythmia.
Been trying to get some crystal shards to unlock more characters, unlocked two so far.

level 71!!!! My highest is 14! I want Locke soooooooooooo bad >_>

Yeah, I've only had a chance to play through the Final Fantasy I section, so my current party members - Zidane (leader), Terra, Cloud and Cecil - are only at level 3.

I currently have Cecil (73), Cloud (71), Warrior of Light (72) and Terra (68).
Gonna start another party soon though after I've unlocked four characters.

My friends, we laugh strongly for Mog!

It seems all three of us are using Terra. My final party would probably be Squall, Locke, Terra and... ??? Dunno yet. Ashe or Yuna.
