When I heard that Fantasy Life was coming to America, I was really excited! My friend and I like to play Animal Crossing: New Leaf and Pokémon XY together a lot, and this game looked like a combination of the two. But after the game came out in Europe, I found out that the online is region-locked, which means we can't play together because she lives in Japan. I finally got the game last night, and it's really fun, but I want to be able to pay it with her! So, I made a petition to remove the region-lock. I know that the Americas and PAL can play together, but not Japan, and I'm sure I'm not the only one that doesn't understand it.
The petition can be found here: http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/fantasy-life-online-multip...
It would be kind of redundant as this game has been released 2 years before it was released here.. and with monster hunter 4 out they're might be 2 or three Japanese players playing as opposed to what it was back then.

Yeah, but the multiplayer is about the people on your Friend List, not random matchups. I agree with what you're saying, but I think that applies more with vs games like Mario Tennis Open or Wii Sports Club.
