Star , "Get this guy off me" I'd actually leave her to die
Slippy is a guy. You discover this revelation in Star Fox Command for the DS. They refer to Slippy as "He/him" and he has a wife.
Wait a minute! Some frog chick was actually willing to marry that guy?! Considering his dangerous profession and underwhelming skills at it, she probably took out a huge life insurance policy on him and is just putting up with him until some enemy takes him out permanantly.
Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.

RE this debate about Nintendo games and voice acting.
The only game that Nintendo has ever got right with voice acting is Xenoblade Chronicles, and even then it's middling.
I liked what little voice acting was in Metroid Prime 3 but that's because they got actual well known voice actors instead of people who are clearly new to it. Your point is still completely correct though.

The Professor Layton games have good voice acting apart from the awful voice acting Luke has in the American versions.

I think she's in the same business and it's actually better than him.
Professor Layton games are not developed by nintendo, are they?
