Star Fox 64 was proof that Nintendo should never, ever, have voice acting in their games.
Ever.
Fox and Slippy and Falco and Peppy are all as bad as one another.
I disagree. I do think Nintendo should have some voice acting in their games, however the way voice acting has been in StarFox series, is definitely not the way Nintendo should do it.
I think Nintendo should have even more voice acting in their games! I mean, see how great Metroid:Other M turn out!
The voice acting itself in Other M is fine. (Yes, I expect Samus to be monotone when doing inner monologues.) It was the script that was the problem.
Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.

No the game was the problem.
Falco is not annoying. Just because he's better than Fox in every way and brags about it, really means he's obviously better than Fox in every way and has a right to brag about.
Just for you. "I'm just a musical prostitute, my dear." - Freddie Mercury
If we want to get into Other M, I'd say that it wasn't the voice acting, nor the script, nor the game itself that was the problem. It's the players. The players who have to find problems in everything, and then complain about them. The players who can't just sit back and enjoy an amazing game. As for Star Fox, I really don't have any problems with the voice acting. Probably because I just don't play the game. At all.
Falco is my favorite our of that game (mr. Bad***) Slippy on the other hand.... me and my brother could not wait to get rid of that little Green annoying gender-confused? Frog!
Also...another thing... Fox: "What's he saying?!" "What's he saying?!" "What's he saying?!" Wolf: "What the heck?!" "What the heck?!" "What the heck?!" Slippy: "Get this guy off me Fox!" "Get this guy off me Fox!" "Get this guy off me Fox!"
lol no need to repeat those things guys! xD

Thank You!
Even though Falco's voice isn't nearly as grating as Slippy's, I find his attitude to be really annoying. Falco is a bit of a jerk.
Falco is the probably the worst character in Assault's multiplayer, because of his extremely low health, while Slippy is most likely the best due to having the most health, being the best in the landmaster, and having his blaster charge in 2 seconds. So, Flaco is worse than Slippy in that sense.

Falco kinda reminds me of my mom. He says things he doesn't have to say, anyways. And the nagging is distracting at times. Except my mom is a tad more worse...
At least Falco isn't scared to enter a Fierce Melee.
"Good. Everyone's together. Pyrrhon loves a party." "...It's funny because marriage is terrible!" If you know the origin of both of those quotes, then you're awesome! Songs are like hugs that mouths give to ears. Dreams are easy to achieve if hope is all...
Star , "Get this guy off me" I'd actually leave her to die
Slippy is a guy. You discover this revelation in Star Fox Command for the DS. They refer to Slippy as "He/him" and he has a wife.
Really, I think it has been blown out of proportion. I hardly noticed what they were saying because I was aways blastings baddies out of the air. He only needs help once per stage or so, and so does everyone else on your team. As for the voice, I never found it annoying so much as odd...
No way! He sounds like a girl! I just wish you had the ability to mute him... his voice is so dam irritating, it's like Justin Bieber. Looks like a girl, sounds like a girl but when you get down to it, it's a DUDE!
Everyone is better than Slippy though. I do love Falco though, his obnoxious tone and bragging... he's just so likeable.
Like Justin Beiber TRUE DAT and Slippy isnt 2 bad not the best but not the worst either.
At least Slippy doesn't sing AND we can kill him at our leisure, the only people who have taken a shot at bieber are the cops in CSI and that guy who through the bottle at him.
And the only way to gain more understanding is to not try, right?

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
