I wonder though .... when I bought the 3rd Professor Layton game and registered it they had a deal going that if you register all 3 games you can get a free box to store them in. I actually put in my code a day too late - it had to be in by the end of Dec 2010 and I put mine in on New Years Day). But the next time I logged in I had a notification that I qualified for the free box which I then got. So.... maybe we'll find out later?

I'm saving my registration for NEXT year so I can get a good start in coin currency to reach platinum status (that means I may register my 3DS in August).
To be honest, I'll be miffed if they count people who registetred before the 25th seeing as the official release date was the 25th.
I think Nintendo of Europe have really messed this promotion up. For a start there should be an allocation of T-Shirts per Club Nintendo country. So Uk gets 3,000 and Germany gets 3,000 etc. Maybe that is the case, but it's not clear. Then registration of the 3DS should not have been allowed before 00:00 on 25th. I've tried to register many games and even the DS Lite which I received before the actual release date and it wouldn't allow me.
Plus there should have been some message about the promotion while registering the 3DS with a confirmation of whether or not you actually qualified.
The grass is always greener on the other side. [...] We tend to think it is only better because they get 1 or 2 things we can't just like how we have 1 or 2 things they don't have.
You should have a look at the Australian club Nintendo http://club.nintendo.com.au/NOE/en_AU/club_nintendo/stars_cat... seriously, you guys (i.e. Japan EU and US) get heaps more stuffs than we do and I'm pretty sure there is nothing we gets that you guys don't. I mean... an ACTUAL Game & Watch, Kirby Patches and Posters? Laptop Bags, SNES Classic Controllers and Mario Hats? Pins, Puzzles and Soundtracks? I wouldn't be complaining.
When I actually had enough points to get something decent all I could pick from was the Game and Watch Collection and a set of two face towels. At least now we have fans.......
I've asked german Nintendo about the topic now. They're saying that you'll get an email in the next days if you were one of the first 3000 who did register it. And they included a lame slogan in their mail. "Have fun experiencing how wonderful 3D-worlds come alive in your hands." (originally:"Viel Spaß beim Erleben wie wundervolle 3D-Welten in Ihren Händen zum Leben erwachen.")
To be honest, I'll be miffed if they count people who registetred before the 25th seeing as the official release date was the 25th.

Anyways, just a sore loser here.
After finding out that people could register early I wrote to Nintendo asking why - they ignored that part of the email but claim the 3000 is the first across Europe - however at least one German gamer received a T-shirt email despite registering Friday morning yet UK gamers registering at midnight did NOT get a T-Shirt.
I 've replied and asked Nintendo to clarify why they allowed people to cheat and register early AND also why if they claim it was Europe-wide, why certain countries will be receiving T-Shirts DESPITE registering later than people in other countries!
I may be being abit of a sore loser too, but I hate being conned !! Had Nintendo been honest, I wouldn't have wasted time queueing at midnight!
