Well I don't know IF it'll come to Nintendo Video, but the image says it might...

I've grown out of cartoons though, animè is where its at! It's just so much better.

Oh poppycock.

Anime is good, some of it, I dont disagree with that. Got shelf full of it.. and if they put out some anime with english subtitles and original voices, in 3D, I will buy the hell out of it.. but western cartoons aren't too bad either. Yesterday spent a good few hours watching the original disney shorts from the 1940s and 1950s, and they're still as good as ever. Pluto, Mickey, Donald etc..

True, most of the contemporary cartoons suck. With very few exceptions.

Just what i wrote in the news section here:

Watched the 3 videos we got in Germany yesterday and i gotta say that to me the 3D effect looks better than in the E3 trailers.
Oscar's Oasis > short documentary on the live-stage of a Germany Hip Hop band > Magic trick. The former, despite feeling like a rip-off of Ice Age's Scrat isn't bad at all. It shows off the 3D quite well and while having characters that are a bit too generic for my taste it's somehwhat fun and i kinda like it. The latter doesn't transport enough atmosphere for me to actually be fascinated.

I'd like if the length of a video were shown on the title screen but it's not a big deal.

What would be nice is if Nintendo decided to bring the Kirby TV channel to the 3DS too. It wouldn't be in 3D but being able to watch the show away from the console would be great for me.

All in all i think it's not a bad start for the service. I'd say there is a bit too much pressure on this app. It has to make up for the recent lack of good retail and 3DS Ware games which isn't really fair.
To me it's more of a neat little extra i get for free with my gaming system. So i wouldn't expect the content to be on par with movies or it being a 24/7 top-notch TV station.

PS: It came as a pleasant surprise trhat Nintendo would launch something new so shortly after the eShop channel.

Nah, they will probably release this when next system update comes up. But I wouldn't be overly enthusiastic about it - 3DS cameras are rather of crappy sort, and videos recorded with them would surely be of poor quality and probably wouldn't even reach 30 frames per second. Bottom line - if you want a decent 3D video recording, buy a dedicated camera - 3DS was never intended to be one.

As for the video service itself - here in Poland we got only two videos ("magic" and Oscar), so I suppose the content is stripped in some countries. A shame, but still I am curious to see what comes out of it in a long run.

I would like the ability to view videos on the 3DS that you recorded yourself... a 3D video recorder would be cool, but if Nintendo gave the cameras the ability to shoot videos then why wasn't it included with it originally?

If you scan the area with the 3DS camera, it runs very smoothly and some pictures are very clear and of nice quality but only when there is a lot of light, I found that with artficial lighting, pictures can look horrible.

Anyways, I hope Nintendo Video gets better over the weeks and show some better content.

I expect this to get better over time. So.. it doesn't use SD memory?

Oh, and Netflix kinda puts this to shame- except, looking at the video up there, Nintendo Video looks much more crisper since the videos are downloaded, not streaming..

The 3D on Nintendo Video isn't great however... you can tell Oscar's Oasis wasn't done in 3D originally as in some screens it can look rather blurry, but it still looks amazing in 2D.

Netflix may put this to shame, but can you download the films/shows to the home menu? If it's JUST streaming, it's not exactly Netflix on the go if you need a constant internet connection.

Your SD card wouldn't hold a feature length 3D movie. Be glad for streaming. Get a pocket WiFi if necessary.

Man... they could've done better: Why they didn't take more time for this? I mean, there was no rush, was there? Now it turned out as... nothing. I'm not happy about this. Not at all.

The icon on the home menu looks kinda cheap. I'll give you that.
