Topic: Etrian Mystery Dungeon

Not crazy about the title but I'm always up for a new Atlus game. A combination of one of my favorite series with something I have no clue about. Looks good but I want to learn more about it.

Keep up the great work Atlus (other then some price points that is). Best 3ds 3rd party support award goes to.........

Looking forward to that game, even with the little info we have on it. Atlus and Spike Chunsoft are two companies I respect very much. Though the EU release has not been confirmed yet, I'm actually pretty sure it'll come (but I'm keeping my fingers crossed anyways).

Now, if only we could get that Atlus EU subsidiary to set up in the future, that would be awesome!

Personally, I love experiencing these hybrids. The Pokemon/Nobunaga hybrid was fun!

That's one game I still have on my wish list. To be honest I'd rather play these spin offs then the main series Pokemon games.

I think Morpheel is talking about the last Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. And I agree. The demo for it was horrid.

Pokemon Conquest is amazing. Still one of my favorite Pokemon-themed games.

Heads up for those interested to see how this will look and run. Atlus is doing a 2pm PST twitch on this game. I have to work but would really like to see that video posted here at some point.

Anyway, it seems Atlus will be steaming this game on twitch soon today, I'll try to watch the stream.

I might get this, but I'm not fond of randomly generated dungeons...though Shiren The Wanderer and Chocobo Dungeon are the only games I really got into despite the randomly generated-ness.

Depending on the universe rules and the characters they can be pretty fun.

Or pretty stressing.

Don't randomly generated dungeons kind of go against the point of Etrian Odyssey?

I'm watched the stream and it looked pretty good, it has the Etrian charm, graphics and music, with the MD gameplay.

They guys playing were also fun to watch.

I just hope the difficulty level is Shiren-like, not Etrian-like, and please no Pokemon-level dialog. I could not bear to finish the tutorial for PMD (forget which version I tried, not the original).

Another live stream going on right now. I'm pretty much sold on anything from Atlus as long as the price is right. Don't know when I'll get to play it though as the first 6 months this year is overloaded.

I'm pretty new to roguelikes, but Spike and Atlus is a winning combo in my opinion, so I'll definitely be checking it out.

Hopefully the other two EO games currently in development are soon announced for NA/EU localization too.

I know EO2's remake has been on my Amazon Wishlist for a while and EO5 was announced recently-ish. Is there another one I don't know about?

Just those 2. I'm sure we will get the inevitable remake of 3 as well but I don't think they will redo 4. At least not for the 3ds.

If 5 goes the way of story mode I may skip that in favor for the more traditional way to play.
