It's not a bad idea, I suppose. Personally, it would be kinda pointless, but not impossible. I doubt they would, however, because it could cause controversies concerning racism, so they may not even bother with it, just to avoid that. Although I personally don't think it would be racist, I'm sure someone out there would, so it probably would not happen.

Considering Animal Crossing's way of generating you character, it would be kind of awkward.
Mii masks would be better i think.
Kapp'n: "Wow your sun tan is like, so amazing."
You: "I'ts not a sun tan!" OR "I wanted to look nice, thanks."
Just like that "I'm not a girl!" moment my character had

The new game will allow Mii characters so it should not be an issue

I see what you mean there. I wish people didn't like to cause drama over video game so much :/
lol
That would be so funny to see
I found the qeustions and responses always funnt
Will they be able to wear hats this time?
Edit: Thanks! I hope it's true. I never wore a hat because I liked wearing the Mii Mask lol
Edit:
Anyone else hope the grass growing/disappearing comes back improved?
Like it takes at least 1-2 months to disappear, and 1-6 to grow back?

Hard to say I did not notice that in the E3 trailer, but its still a possibility with all of the features they are adding for the new game.
Also I like the fact that running can form little trails but they need to fix the amount of time for grass to return. Good point

Yes, tanning lol
Personally, I would love it if they gave us a choice to use our Mii or the regular AC character. I never liked the Mii Mask as it looks so awkward. Using Mii's would really personalize the game and I'll be able to use some sweet headgear with my Mii in-game

If Miis are indeed usable in the new AC, then ethnicity shouldn't be an issue.

Yeah, if your character is in the sun too long, they'll tan.
But there should definitely be skin tone choices!

Being black, I've always wondered whether or not any AC game would ever put this into consideration. I'd like it personally, but for some reason, I'm sure it'd create racism warfare.
I don't know why, as My Sims had it from the get-go, but as AC has always had a simple white character standardly, I'm fine with it. I don't really stress on it, just wonder at times.
Miis will be awesome though.

Same thing with Pokémon. I'm hispanic and have tan skin (natural, yo!).
I would love to create a character that looks like me to set myself apart from others. Games like AC and Pokémon should incorporate skin tone and other features in games that have the controlled character to represent the player.
Though, obviously it isn't a necessity. But it's more than welcome.
Oh, and glad you brought up MySims. It's a wicked fun game and I love the customizations (especially building furniture- which was supposed to be a feature in ACCF).

I think the fact you can use your Mii's takes care of this problem. In the original game it could be a problem, you never got to customize your look at the start (skin, eyes, mouth), it was always random, which kinda bugged me a little when I got an odd depressed looking character to start with.

Zelda II: Adventure of Link
Eh i would still like my AC character to be my skin color (Black) but what are you gonna do write multiple complaints to Nintendo.
(Starts Writing) Just kidding
But really i would just like to have my Cute little Ac character be black. I dont want to walk around as my freaky non expression changing me o.o

in city folk, when you get a mii mask, I believe when you take it off, your character's skin is still that color. I think, at least.
I've made a huge mistake.

Really? I have to see if that works when I start the game up again lol
IKR?
The Mii heads don't have the same looks and their heads are huge!
Were Miis confirmed for the 3Ds?
If they can wear hats and other accesories I'll forget about it and just use the mask:P
I hope they have all the activities/holidays from all 3 versions
I liked the grass growing/disappearing too!
It made the game more realistic, but Nintendo does need to work on how fast it disappeared
