@ Sneaker, I know, I'm Dutch as well and have used iDeal excessively already. I tried 3Vcash, and my concerns were unfounded. It works great, and just 1 euro extra payment costs. No problem at all
What can take so long to release these cards? I mean, they're already released in America and Japan, yet us Europeans get nothing. What the hell is going on Nintendo?! Just give us the bloody cards already...
They've even taken down "eShop cards will be released at the end of June", excuse me, it's currently August now, what's the hold up?!? They're only cards with numbers on the back...
Getting pretty fed up having to wait for cards that might not even appear for another year... Nintendo of Europe are pretty dam slow obviously...
I suggest all of us who want to get the prepaid cards in Europe should e-mail NOE and tell them how we feel about their current situation. Try to put pressure on them: tell them that you have had enough of their treatment of the European customers and that this is really damaging their reputation. I've already e-mailed them at least six times during the Summer. Keep contacting them, don't give them a moment's rest, keep asking them about the prepaid cards and demand an answer! The more pressure and angry e-mails they get, the more inclined they'll get about releasing the prepaid cards!
I'm through with just sitting and doing nothing while NOE's slacking off and not doing it's work, while the 3DS sales are going downhill and the rest of Nintendo is actively fixing the situation with price cuts and free games. I say we should put an end to NOE's laziness and cold ignorance!
The Best Buy in Cedar Hill, Tx has them out already. They only had the $20 version though. I thought i read from Nintendo that they were going to have $5, $10 and $20 versions.
I've yet to buy one to see how exactly it works though, no money at the moment.
I phoned Nintendo customer services about this and he said he didn't know when they would be out in Europe but he said that it will probably be September at the earliest and December at the latest which is annoying.
@Gustoff - Ever redeemed a Nintendo Points card or iTunes card? It works exactly the same way.
@mariofanatic128 - They're available everywhere in America in large numbers. Since the eShop's launch, I've yet to see a Gamestop or Target without having them in stock.

What the bloody hell? January at the EARLIEST!? I have a feeling NOE is pushing back the release of the cards because they actually ENJOY seeing the fans agonize over not getting the games, and want to spite us by pushing the date back further and further!
Well, I'll send them a really angry e-mail about their current plans. I think we all should be really upset and raise an uproar about this ¨January at the earliest¨ crap! Let's make them regret they ever dared to mess with us fans!!!
