There's no thread for this? Just announced via Nintendopower.com it is a 3DS game done by Dreamrift (the team behind Henry Hatsworth and Monster Tale for the DS) and is apparently also a two player co-op game.
We don't know much else about the game until the magazine comes out, but I know I'm excited for this.
Especially with it having "Illusion" in the title like the classic Sega games.

When I saw this topic I was really interested, but staid interest was lost when I read that Dreamrift was developing it. I'll read the reviews of it, but chances are it will be let down by some really poor level design situations just like Henry Hatsworth & Monster Tale were ...
After seeing what the game looks like, I'm even more excited to play this now.
I do hope this leads to VC releases of the original 5 games, though.

I'm all for this. I would shout day 1 except I'm curious about the touch screen usage. It could very well ruin the pace. On the other hand, like DreamRift's previous two games the second screen could add an extra element of greatness to something already exciting.

Read the NP article about PoI, and I'm actually less interested in it before. Here's why: *The game will feature a Suikoden-style base for Mickey and his crew (I'm actually neutral on this, having never played a Suikoden game, but it's worth mentioning) *The bottom screen action will be the paint/thinner aspect of the game, wherein you use the stylus to draw-destroy stuff that's in your path. In other words, a major element of the game will involve tracing. *In an interview, the dude heading DreamRift (Peter Ong) mentioned something along the lines of feeling emboldened by the success of Hatsworth & Monster Tale to make heavier use of the touch screen activity within PoI.
I'm totally interested in this one, I remember having a great time with that NES Mickey Mouse game back then (Well, I was actually too young to play it, but it seemed like fun!). Plus, it seems to use elements from Disney's older toons AND games.
I hope it will be as good as people say Disney games used to be.
@NintyFan, I prefer the cover art on the right, because it leaves more to the imagination. Which better supports the whole Mickey Mouse with a paint brush theme. The cover art on the left seems too cluttered, and slightly disorientating.
Sorry @WaveBoy, but I've never owned a Mega Drive or a Sega Genesis. I probably never will. I remember playing Mickey Mouse on the Gameboy and loving it, though.

Power of Two will be the direct sequel to the first Epic Mickey, and Power of Illusion will be a different adventure that will be a tribute to classic Disney games.
