Hey Guys. Want to see the most painful to watch review of a 3DS courtesy of CNN. There are numerous and absolutely pathetic errors he makes in it, but he knows what he's talking about because he's "a hardcore gamer who grew up playing Halo." I should have no problem getting a job as a game critic (if I really wanted to) if this guy is. http://gonintendo.com/viewstory.php?id=153890
My apartment complex's lousy computers won't let me view the video. Is there a Youtube video of it? I couldn't find one, but this computer can watch some youtube videos.
Looks like I'm missing out on a hilarious video.
If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.
this guy is so stupid! i am cracking up over him. him and his little voice and know-it-all smarts are hilarious. and Halo?????! i grew playing Super Mario World not Halo. "And hardcore gamers, such as my self, who grewup with Halo blah blah blah!
Currently Playing:
Yakuza: Like A Dragon
Star Wars: Squadrons
Black Ops Cold War Zombies
Favorite game: Super Metroid
It's irritating when they bring up iDevices. The 3DS is clearly focused on gaming.
I look at it this way: The main course of the 3DS is gaming, while the sides are music player, browser, [3D] video, pedometer for walking, cameras and eShop.
For the iPhone: Calling people is the main course while you sides are watching videos, playing games, Appstore*, listening to music, web-browsing... and that's about it. Unless there's a main feature I missed (video playing includes Netflix and the Appstore includes downloading apps and stuff).
When I look at it this way, I'd pick the 3DS. And how long do iPhone's last if you were to play games on it? My brother has one but he doesn't really play games on it- recently getting a Duke Nukem game and ultimately not liking it on the device.
We also forgot that the 3DS lasts up to 5 hours when playing 3DS games. But what about playing music or web-browsing? Come Sunday and months to come, I guess I'll find out on my own.
Oh, and that guy is pretty ignorant. Developers can digitally distribute games through eShop. And how old is he if he grew up with Halo? Is he 27? Because Halo was released when he was only 17 if that were to be true.

XD Probably even younger. You can't trust a gamer "who grew up with Halo" reviewing a Nintendo system without prejudice as far as you can throw him. and since when did CNN have the authority to be "game critics"? I agree with you entirely though, just giving my opinion on the guy.
I watched the CNN review. The funniest part to me was when he said it's a dated design because it uses carts "which we probably haven't seen since the old Game Boys" and "adding insult to injury," a stylus, "which we haven't seen since the early 90s".
Hilarious quote in the comment page: "This is how it went down @ CNN
"JOHNSON!" "Yes mr boss sir?" "Theres a new Atari gadget thing coming out this weekend that everyone else is talking about except us, WHY are we not talking about it???" "Well... we are back on Charlie Sheen Watch alert, now that Japan flowed under our deadline of being covered for the minimum 3 days according to policy." "Right, Stay on that. Who knows what he will do next, This is what MATTERS to the people! That's what keeps you getting paid, and thats what keeps our sponsors paying US." "Right, sir." "So anyway, we gotta do a quick side story about this gizmo to seem "Hip" and "Rad" to the younger crowd. Kids still say "Rad" right?" "I don't have kids sir" "Get some or you're fired." "Yes sir." "I don't want to spend any budget on this, just grab someone from the office. one of the new interns should be able to talk about it for a minute or two. Give him some bullshit about it being his big break and tell him to get something together." "O.K. But which intern sir?" "What??? How should I KNOW?? I don't get paid to make decisions! I get paid to make it look like I do! Just ask anyone.... YOU THERE!" "....Uh, is something wrong sir?" "You look new. are you an intern?" "Yes I just started today." "Do you play Nintendo xbox's or whatever" "Actually its Microso-" "DO YOU?" "Yes I do sir!" "Good, whats your qualifications on the subject?" "I practically lived on Halo in college sir" "Halo... Johnson is that a popular thing?" "My nephew used to constantly yell racial epitaphs and question peoples sexuality while playing it I believe" "Good enough, You're hired. You start in 20 minutes. As in you are live in 20 minutes. Here's the atari 3D edition or whatever. get going" "Uh..... but I" "You want to make it in this business??? Stop THINKING. You don't get paid to THINK. You get paid to tell OTHER people in this Country what to think. Now get going!" "Yes sir!" "Crisis averted. Johnson, Hookers and blow?" "Hookers and blow sir!"
I immediately disregard any review that marks the console down for lacking a GBA port. That thing is two generations old now, and yet people cling to it like it's still relevant.
It is still relevant when the Hoenn region hasn't been released in a DS game yet, so it's extremely hard to fill up the pokedex in any DS pokemon game.
Neither was the Johto region up until 2009's remakes of the game. I would have liked to play Gameboy games on the DS... as much as I didn't like playing GBA games on it (it doesn't feel right to me). The irony.
People with a one-sided and biased take on any product or news do not deserve to be a reporter. Its a good thing not all reporters are like that "guy who grew up with Halo". Though he may not give the best review, from Bloomberg, I find this old timer's review enjoyable and I'm happy to know that the 3D didn't bother him that much.
I think if he worked for Fox, it MAY have impacted sells a lot more because apparently it's the "most watched news broadcast" and loads of people believe most the BS they bring up. I think CNN should have hired me to review it
... Or Corbie, someone, anyone from NL lol
That would have been a better choice not because we LOVE the 3DS but we know more about it than this clown (though, props to him for pointing things out that are actually wrong with the system). Least he had some decent knowledge of the system.
And if this was LIKE the iPad, iTouch or any iDevice, the man would be complaining anyways and saying "Apple rip-offs" or "Apple clones".
Because human beings tend to not think clearly and complain about relatively nothing.

The guy looks older then me, I doubt he grew up playing Halo.
And what dose Hardcore gamer means anymore? I guess being teabag by 12 year olds on Halo, is hardcore gaming.
