They only reviewed and scored the 3. Talked about some of the othegr launch games in kind of hands on play-test capacity. Didn't mention Steel Diver.

Not just Samurai Warriors - Omega Force games.
Dynasy Warriors, Warrors: Heroes of Troy, Trinity Zill 'o Zero, Bladestorm etc etc.
They're usually incredibly-well made games and genuinely compelling

I'm writing up the Super Street Fighter IV 3D review right now. Should be up tomorrow.
I really want to know one thing: Is it comfortable to play longish sessions using the d-pad for a figting game? It looks too far down and out of horizontal alignment with the face buttons (lopsided). Hopefully the review will reveal all...

Considering how awful the 3DS launch lineup is, I'm expecting some very generous reviews for most of these games.

Awful? It's really not THAT bad. There are some good-looking games at launch.
I have trouble finishing games.
Current victims of shelving: Ni no Kuni, Dragon Quest VIII, Ratchet Deadlocked

The best game seems to be either a Pilotwings tech demo or a re-release of Nintendogs in 3D.
The only other game to look at is Street Fighter, and anyone that takes the game seriously is already playing it on a much stronger platform. It's like Nintendo wanted this one to come out so they can show everyone they can take pretty 360/PS3 games and make them semi-decent on their handheld.
I was actually all for buying a 3DS at launch (for the first time in my life, I never buy at launch) until I realized I probably wouldn't be playing any games I'd like for months. Ironically the only reason I'd buy a 3DS is to play Pokemon Black, a regular DS game. lol

Pilotwings has quite a bit of content for a tech demo
Btw, same here on the last statement

Alexsays You've been gone for quite a while hey?
Anyways, the launch line up for the 3DS imo isn't great or horrible, it's just stuck dead in between yet not one those titles screams 'system seller' I can see why some people are holding off, but i personally HAVE to get one at launch. If it weren't for the 3D technology I may actually think other wise.
But yep, Nintendog's Will be thee' first 3DS game I pop in, that or PilotWings Resort, not too sure yet.

Yeah it's been a while. I think I've checked in one other time in the past six months or so.

I thought it just had a free flight and a simple mission mode.. That seems like a lot for 40 bucks.
We'll be rockin' Pokemon for like 50 hours, at the least, for five bucks less.

So, if Nintendogs+Cats is a re-release, so are all the Street Fighter, Halo, Mario, Zelda, Kirby, God of War, Half Life, Megaman, Rayman, Bomberman, Tales Of series, Soul Calibur- simply, every game out there.
34. Posted: Mon 7th Mar 2011 06:10 GMT
Hey and what about Rayman 2 3D? Then again, if it weren't for the 3D I'd most likely pass this one up.I remember renting it back on the Dreamcast and hardly touching it. It just didn't have the magic of an Nintendo platformer, it seeemed decent i guess but I'm not exactly the best to say since i didn't play too much of it. For now, the 3DS version is on the 'maybe' list.

@AlexsaysSo, if Nintendogs+Cats is a re-release, so are all the Street Fighter, Halo, Mario, Zelda, Kirby, God of War, Half Life, Megaman, Rayman, Bomberman, Tales Of series, Soul Calibur- simply, every game out there.... Right?
Yeah totally. Except those games are usually accompanied by enough new content to be considered an entirely new game.. especially the first in those series'. lol (That and there are original games out there, people..)
Taken from a Nintendogs 3DS review:
All in all, Nintendogs + Cats feels very much the stock update, disappointing in so much as it doesn’t actually add anything of note or substance.
Now I know, it has 3D and that's way cool.. but so will every other 3D game to come out, so maybe some of them will actually be new games as well.
Of course if you're a fan, it doesn't matter. I've been playing the same Pokemon game for like 20 years and I'm still buying Black for whatever reason. But that doesn't mean the 3DS' launch isn't very weak.
Realistically, these games will be old news when some decent ones start to roll out.
Eh, Rayman has kind of gone the way of the Spyro for me.
He was great once, but whoever was in charge never took advantage and slowly let him die off. That's why the rabbids had to take over. If that game is good, that's great, but I'd have to see it to believe it.

Eh, everyone's entitled to their opinions. It doesn't make sense how yearly titles (Call Of Duty) score high or are even praised when there isn't any substance to justify a new game there. Nintendogs+Cats is MORE new than CoD Black Ops content-wise, that's for sure.
Of course, they are two different games. I won't be getting Nintendogs+Cats as I already have a real dog and because I had my fill of virtual pets with Nintendogs: Chihuahua and Friends.
Games like Pilotwings, Street Fight IV and Super Monkey Ball are the games that I'm REALLY interested in for the launch.
Guess people are too picky these days (and to a degree, close-minded).

That Rayman 3D game should be outstanding if it's an update of the Dreamcast version (the best Rayman platformer to date IMO). I just wish they'd do a new Rayman game WITHOUT the Rabbids. LOL
And a buddy of mine who's reviewing Steel Diver for a print publication said it's one of the best games he's played in years. So now my mediocre interest in the game has suddenly blossomed.

I'm not too interested at all regarding Nintendog's + Cats. I mainly wan't it as a 3D and graphical showcase and because Dog's jump up toward you in frikkin 3D!. But it's also maybe because the original Nintendogs was one of the fist DS titles I picked up years ago.
As for Monkey Ball, it just looks....well, just not quite up to Monkey Ball standards, maybe the weak looking graphics are turning me off. Sega could of done better than what they pumped out.
