I was thinking another Dragon Quest and Rune Factory but then I looked it up and turns out it's already happening lol.

Oh and wow, someone else played Lost Magic as well? Wicked.

1) Final Fantasy Tactics a new one.
2) Puzzle Quest 3. I loved PQ1, liked PQ2, ok despised PQ Galatrix but it had a good concept horribly done though.
3) Picross 3D but with multiple colors. Color Cross on DS is a great game. I would like to see a combination of Color Cross with Picross 3D. Color Cross for those who never played is Picross but each square gets a color not just black and white.
4) NY Times Crossword but go for the last 2 years. With monthly downloads of the newest puzzles.

Someone mentioned PvZ. Although not technically a sequal to a DS game, I still want to see it on 3DS. They seem determined to port it to everything, so I'm surprised it's not on 3DS yet. Maybe they're still deciding how to make it work on 3DS.

A Megaman Starforce and Battle Network entries (I think it counts because there was 2 BN games on DS)

Battle Network was very conclusive, but I need another StarForce! I must know what happens to Duo and Rogue! What about Vega?! Where Ophiuca go?! What about Ace?! SO MANY QUESTIONS!

They would most likely have a sequel name after it, like "2" or 3D". I couldn't come up with good descriptions.

Do you truly look at things positively? For example, do you look at the glass like it's always full? (Half water, half air.) Or when someone "lets the cat out of the bag," do you think it's because the person felt sorry for the cat stuck in the bag? There is a positive side to almost everythin...

I don't know if everyone else forgot but in mk7 you have customize your cart to have different wheels, body, and glider which was a first, collect coins to gain speed, use mii's once again, the only thing lacking is to make your own logo like in the ds version.

Honestly the only thing I though MK7 was lacking was items and characters...but yeah I don't know where everyone is getting this 'brought nothing new to the series" deal. :/

I want Rhythm Heaven as well, hopefully going the D.I.Y route like WarioWare did. :3

A few have already said this but yes; I'd love a new Advance Wars for the 3DS. One that's a sequel to Dual Strike to be exact, that game was my introduction to the world of Advance Wars and I really enjoyed it.

@undead_terror - Exactly. MK7 added more, including the return of coins which were only in two of the Mario Kart games (not including the arcade games).

Another Castlevania _______ of Sorrow. That would kick ass. Perhaps a prequel as Julius Belmont. But add souls in it somehow. Those were the coolest things ever.

Improved online functionality? New courses? Flying and underwater segments? More kart customization? New items?

I quite enjoyed the game's new content.

What would you qualify as worthwhile additions to the Mario Kart formula?

The online was basically the same as Wii's barring stuff that didn't affect me in the slightest (though I might be in the minority of hardcore gamers that really liked Mario Kart Wii, co-op only multiplayer battle mode included). New courses are in every game, that doesn't count. Flying was just a weaker, lesser used and infinitely less important version of hovering from Kirby Air Ride. Kirby Air Ride's use of it was SOOOO much better, and it's far from even one of the better parts of that particular game. Underwater was exactly the same, even if it was admittedly cool (maybe downgraded in coolness because of that one track of the Wii game that pratically did the same thing?). More kart customization was cool I guess, but it wasn't extensive enough to be THAT new. New items: see: new courses. And what little was added that did kinda matter is negated by taking away mission mode. The fact that we only get one Mario Kart per system makes this a bit more unacceptable imo.

The first ideas that come to mind when adding something new is to add some new form of gameplay. Either add something new that actually affects the gameplay for the courses, or add a brand new type of vehicle. One idea I'd love to see more of are courses that change depending on which lap you are on or to add more shortcuts and alternate paths. Or maybe go the direction of the last Need for Speed and add some sort of open world. Or at least bring back more stuff like mission mode. Between that and similar missions in the Smash Bros. games, I've spent more time than almost any game, loved that type of stuff. Based on Rayman Legends, they could do some weekly mission challenges or something, it'd be cool. And there's plenty of ways to expand the online into something crazy awesome. As for vehicles, just rip-off Diddy Kong Racing's 3 vehicle system and I'd already be satisfied with that alone.

Not to mention, creating your own Mario Kart course would be absolutely wonderful.

Mario Kart DS introduced Mission Mode, Retro Cups, the format for a two screen Mario Kart (seen in 7 and will likely be in U) and I think allowed CPUs in battle modes as well. Mario Kart 7 offered new driving mechanics (air/water) and customization for karts and multiplayer. It's difficult for me to pick one over the other, but DS added more.

As for DS games getting 3DS sequels: Metroid Prime Hunters, Custom Robo Arena, WarioWare Touched!, WarioWare D.I.Y., Dementium II, Moon, AuraAura Climber, Photo Dojo, Nostalgia.....

oh yeah, we're overdue for a new WarioWare game already. C'mon, Ninty, make it happen.

I think they're intending for Game & Wario to be the next entry in the series, but I'm just not getting the same feel of the series from that game personally.

WarioWare DIY would be perfect for the 3DS and Wii U. After all, both consoles have the same input means like gyro/motion controls, touch screen, microphone and camera, so now microgames can be easily ported to work on both.

And making something like WarioWare DIY 2 and WarioWare DOIY Showcase 2 (with microgame maker and comic maker included in both versions) gives both the 3DS and Wii U a brand new WarioWare game with minimal effort on Nintendo's part.

Brilliant idea I say.

As been said before, GS: Dark Dawn is open for a sequel. Hell, a reveal would instantly move it to the top of my wanted list.
